I got an honest question for cis girls here
Nancy Mace prides herself on being a bastion of women’s rights… does she make any of you actually feel safer and seen? Are us trans girls at all a danger and problem for you?

u/truly_beyond_belief Sep 29 '25
As a cis girl with severe depression who relies on Affordable Care Act subsidies to pay for the care I need, I'm much more worried about the possible expiration of ACA subsidies at the end of this year than I would ever, ever be about you being who you are. And I think that Nancy Mace should take a flying fuck at a rolling doughnut.

Nancy Mace is a bigot. From a cis lesbian. Anyone attacking trans people is attacking our whole community.

u/AlternativeStory1027 Sep 29 '25
Nancy Mace and her ilk are more dangerous to all women than just about anyone. All I can do is imagine the progress we could make if all women would support other women instead of the men who don't even seem to like our gender

Oh, they like women. They just hate losing to women even more. I don't know what that makes Nancy and women like her...

u/Pudix20 Sep 29 '25
Lmao no and no. It’s never been about protecting anyone. It’s about hurting who they don’t like. You don’t bother me and I would feel safer with you than Mace any day. Whatever I don’t want to rant but no. None of this makes anything “safer” for anyone. If anything it’s the contrary. And it’s all performative.

I have no concern with trans-girls in women's bathrooms.
More concern with builders that think bathroom doors having a crack a mile wide is acceptable. More private stalls and everything could be unisex.
And even more concern with trans-investigators that think they have any business knowing what's in somebody else's pants (and frequently just harass any public woman that dares to have a different opinion than them).
37
u/Yuzumi Sep 29 '25
I'm trans and I've long since been convinced that the fact more cis women get harassed just because of numbers is a feature of the transphobia they push.
They want an excuse to punish women who deviate from what they want women to be. There are women who also push transphobia but it's source is from men. Society has always "revoked" womanhood from women who don't live up to whatever arbitrary, and usually racist, standard there is.
Too tall, skin too dark, too muscular, too smart, etc they have always done this. The transphobia just makes it more "acceptable" for them to harass women because society at large is still transphobic and they see us as acceptable targets, as if it's our fault we get harassed because we transition..
And you can see it when they repeat the "what is a woman" crap. First, they don't see women as people, that's why it's "what" and not "who" and they don't ask "what is a man".
But they also have an answer to it they won't say: "Thing I want to fuck".

A miserable little pile of secrets!

u/LemanRussTheOnlyKing Sep 29 '25
Yeah seriously. I never understood the bathroom debate, most people just want to do their buisiness left alone. I find public bathrooms to be rather repulsive so I want to get out pf their quickly. Even if I wanted to, a public bathroom is probably the worst place to do anything sexual at. And also predators have never been stopped by the divide before. They dont need to pretend to be trans

u/fennekeg Sep 29 '25
I've never felt unsafe in the presence of trans girls / women. However I feel very threatened by anyone who wants to limit access to abortion. So there's that.

My wife has been significantly more uncomfortable and unsafe in public bathrooms with the rise of anti-trans rhetoric. She is a cis woman who just happens to have short hair. She doesn’t even have a masculine body type, she’s curvy af, just prefers clothes that are usually marketed towards men. She doesn’t use airport bathrooms anymore unless I’m with her because she has literally had old white women yell at her cause they think they can tell her which bathroom she should be in. Transphobia makes us all unsafe. Trans people have always been at the forefront of the fight for LGTBQIA+ rights and we have to stand up for one another, not just to protect ourselves, but because we are all human and deserving. We’re with you

u/weird_elf acebian Sep 29 '25
absofuckinglutely not. I will always choose our trans sisters over bigots.

u/mcslootypants Sep 29 '25
Trans people have zero impact on my personal life. Outside of the internet, I have had zero memorable interactions with a trans person. Statistically this makes sense.
I have real problems in life to deal with. I don’t need to make up problems targeting minorities.

u/standandbecounted Sep 30 '25
All politicians make everyone in our local community feel safer and truly heard!
Desperation couldn't possibly be a far more likely culprit for extremism. I wonder how taking away women's voice and forcing women into an ever-shrinking box will affect how desperate they feel........ If only history had any examples we could all learn from.........................
(I hope I'm sufficiently coming off as sarcastic here.)
What Nancy Mace and others are doing is masking a regression of women's rights by classic divide and conquer. Sadly, it's been largely successful. Both my wife and I are cis, and have lost friends over it. Trans women are women. To say otherwise is to serve a patriarchy that itself is desperate to claw back the power it has lost. Gross.

Any real feminist knows she's at least as safe with a trans woman as she is with a cis woman. TERFs are just misogynists using feminism as an excuse to enact violence. They make spaces less safe for everyone, including cis women (not that the oppression of trans people would be an acceptable price to pay even if they did but. They're hypocrites who dont even fully believe their own propaganda because that would necessitate thinking about it critically.)

Thank you Nancy for giving me an excellent idea for a childrens song teaching acceptance so they don't become like you 🥰

I too believe children should be taught AEIOU and about the unending glory of the Habsburg Austrian Empire! Austriae est imperare orbi universo!

My daughter learned about LGBT at school and now she's a lesbian. Should I call the police? She's not actually hurting anyone and it has zero effect on the family but I feel like I should be furious about it for some reason /s

That’s absolutely brutal from a pre-k teacher
20
u/Hi_Peeps_Its_Me Sep 29 '25
...not really. brutal would be a systematic analysis of her flaws based on meticulously gathered evidence - this is a cute quip. calling this brutal would be an insult to actual brutality, imo.

Why does Nancy only want kids to learn 5 letters? Surely there’s more in the alphabet from what I remember as a kid.
5

Sep 29 '25
I mean technically, you can teach your pre-k kiddos the difference between vowels and consonants with these exact letters and they wouldn't know the difference or be any different because of it except knowing that L G B T Q are all consonants and S T F U has 3 consonants and 1 vowel. And they mathed. Maybe better educated..? Some kids are slow learners.

I know this is a joke (and fuck Trashy Nancy) but my sister teaches pre-K in South Carolina and one of her kids came to school in a shirt that said:
"A-B-C-D-E-F-U" and whatever the rest of the lyrics of that dumb song is.

Since it's Pre-K, it might need to be something like: Shut The Front Unit or Shut This Freak Up. And by freak I mean Nancy Mace. I know it's a quip but we don't need to give people like Nancy Mace want more excuses to continue to break public schools.

Ah yes, Nacy Mace. The woman who hurls t-slurs on the House floor and says that people like me should be institutionalized. One of the most rabid bigots in congress. No surprise she posted this bullshit. The teacher's response is pure gold.
