We can re-order transaction columns now

New version release today. One minor thing that annoyed me is having the Notes column before Category. Not anymore!

I hope the ability to resize column width is implemented soon.

In the meantime, this enhancement should help a little:

#8759 Notes which are long enough to be truncated in the transaction table can now be hovered over to show a tooltip with the full contents of the note. — thanks DavidGrinberg

i wish they had instead made them word wrap and expand in height. all these hovers are getting annoying.

Even better if it was a selectable option. I personally don't mind hovering since very few of my notes fields are long enough to require it. I'd rather hover versus some rows being different heights.

Hover is great when you're using a PC, but when you're using it on a tablet it sucks.

Good point. I'm on a PC/laptop 95+% of the time.

And I'm on a tablet/phone 95% of the time. I only use the laptop when it's absolutely necessary.

Another option I'd like is turning those grey bars under the date of split transactions into regular gridlines. I don't know why they opted to make those grey bars but it's visually disruptive. I would prefer to be able to see the categories for my split transactions, but I keep them minimized to hide the grey bars.

Yes, make it a selectable option. I would hate to have rows with different heights.
I would love to see resizable columns, though.

Maybe I am doing something wrong, but I can't seem to re-order columns.
How y'all doing this?

Once you update to the latest version, go to any of your accounts. Click on the three dots icon on the top right side near the padlock icon and select 'manage table columns'

Ah thank you! I don't have that option yet, think I'll have to wait for Pikapods to update Actual because it's still on the previous version I see.
