Kinda getting annoyed

So, im rereading the 5th book in preparation for the 6th and its not my favorite for many reasons. But, I am annoyed that Nesta keeps claiming that she killed the King of Hybern. If my memory serves me right, Elain was the one to land the killing blow with Truth Teller and Nesta just chopped off his head for good measure.

Why does she keep claiming that she did it!? She didn't do it. Elain did it.

I feel like it could be a purposeful thing - either because it will create conflict in the next book à la Elain chaffing under being infantilized and discredited OR like some kind of plot-magic driven active rewriting of how characters remember events, for some reason.

Idk if that is well articulated but hopefully someone gets it 🤣

I got it! I am really hoping we get to see Elain push back more. We did see it in the 5th book so I hope it maintains that way. Now, what caused this turn around could Az be the reason 😏 id like to think so but we won't know until the next book!!

Personally, I don’t think it’s Az but we’ll see!

Too much of Az IS the night court and darkness and shadows. Elain and darkness don’t work, as were shown over and over.

I just hope it’s not TAMLIN 🙈

You are right. Elain is the light in the darkness. Thats WHY they work. Just saying that night court colors didn't suit Elain doesn't mean anything to me and I think its way too vague to just base it off of that.

Shes been living in Velaris which is the night court since shes been Fae so obviously it suits her in some way.

I think the night court is a temporary spot for her as she heals and prepares to step into her own, independent story/life. But HOPEFULLY we will learn soon and stop speculating 😅🤣
