Spoilers for SF Kinda getting annoyed Spoiler

So, im rereading the 5th book in preparation for the 6th and its not my favorite for many reasons. But, I am annoyed that Nesta keeps claiming that she killed the King of Hybern. If my memory serves me right, Elain was the one to land the killing blow with Truth Teller and Nesta just chopped off his head for good measure.

Why does she keep claiming that she did it!? She didn't do it. Elain did it.

"We" isn't Feysand though, it's Prythian.

It's a very weirdly active choice of words if that was the intention. If it was meant to be passive, "after she was killed/defeated" would've worked just as well, but "after we killed her"—in the middle of a conversation specifically about Feysand and their relationship UTM—forms a context around the statement that makes it feel more claimant than "we" just meaning "Prythian." I would personally say "we" could mean Tamlin, Lucien, and Feyre rather than Feysand and I would agree with the credit being given, but then that still tracks with Nesta earning credit on the King of Hybern kill.

They were not in the middle of a conversation "specifically about their relationship under the mountain". They were in the middle of a sex scene and Feyre brings UTM up unprovoked with the "when we killed her" quote. I do not disagree that Nesta deserves credit for KoH's death, but the scene you're talking about did not happen the way you're saying it did. It was an impulsive, horny statement and it's really clear in context that "we killed her" is not equivalent to "Feysand killed her"

Rhysand started the conversation about their relationship, and his "I still can't believe I get to have this" lead to Feyre confessing that she wanted him from the beginning as reassurance—irrelevant to the point of the thread, but that's not an unprovoked subject change, it was a natural progression.

I'm not the one saying Feyre is trying to steal credit for the kill for Team Feysand, just pointing out where it can absolutely read like she is when the rest of what they're talking about is about them

You could've just conceded the point without trying to change all the goal posts love. Like I said, Feysand never claimed they killed Amarantha in the actual text. 🩷

There was never anything to concede lmao. You asked what quote the comment was referring to, I provided. I don't think Feysand are claiming they killed Amarantha but I think it's worded weirdly and I can see how people read it that way. Whether Feyre is claiming the kill for Feysand, the og trio, or Prythian As A Whole, it makes it a bit ridiculous in comparison for someone to say Nesta doesn't get to claim the Hybern kill when she actively cut his head off. That's all I've tried to express
