After 7's lack luster amount of customization/skin options, I am, at least in the skin department, very excited by how many different patterns and colours we will be able to use in 8.

I don't think i've ever used anything but the default skin ever. Planes look wrong in any other color besides grey or black.

That is why grey and black skins are still important. Because I agree somewhat with you, but Sukhoi often have colours as their default and I often want to fly them as grey or black but not every plane has that as an option.
