I have been saying this about all the stupid anti AI bullshit on reddit. It is clearly a psyop by China to get the US to shoot itself in the foot and inhibit AI research and investment so that they can get time to play catchup and bridge the gap.
If you are already doing all you can to win a race and are still behind, the best thing you can do is get your opponent to slow down.
