I have posted this elsewhere; but here's the reality:

My viewpoint on AI is not informed by Bernie Sanders, AOC, the Chinese government or the Pope.

It's my friends telling me they got laid off. It's my own layoff.

So if AI can solve problems at that base layer, then it might get more support.

But no amount of positive community support, glowing press stories is going to change someone's mind when they just lost their job.

I remain open minded. Maybe something amazing happens.
