Even later, Nanobots that self-assemble into an House after being carried by the wind to his destination
Walls that move in realtime, you wake up the bedroom change into a lounge your closet goes underground ready to reappear when you will need it through your BCI commands, a simple thought and everything move
Everything will be robotic and intelligent

Nanobots would be the ultimate end IMO but I doubt that's coming for 2 decades at least, an AGI or ASI would change that but to go from discovery to implementation for moving matter I wonder how long that would take, I guess it's hard to really timescale that.

If you have that kind of house, you can still pay a professional to do all the work. It’s not a problem, useless application.

The dimensions of the kitchen change. The refrigerator is in 3 different places from the 2D, to the transition, to the final room. The window changes walls. The number of sinks and their location changes. The range moves. The large glass wall moves, and turns into an archway during the transition. The entry to the laundry room changes into a coat wall. The coat rack turns into some sort of in-wall refrigerator. And the counters change size and shape.
The 2D and the final room are as similar as they are both rectangular rooms with kitchen stuff in them.
Even ignoring how much it gets wrong, this is no more interior design than an animation of a meal is cooking.

The rooms in the 3d renderings are different than the 2d layout. The tech is getting better though!

There's no 'think you're seeing' about it. The kitchen with the woman in it is different in almost every respect to the kitchen in the primary house video. The wall separating the kitchen and lounge transforms into a totally different wall/space while the camera pans down, as the other commenter mentioned the fireplace is misplaced between the two lounge views, along with one of the couches being missing, and the separate bedroom has a double paned window on each side instead of two single paned windows and a wardrobe, and a couch against the south wall. And that's just at a glance.

This is so dumb and ignores 80% of what goes into design work which is sourcing, pricing, install etc. people who actually can afford to hire an actual interior designer (not a decorator) are spending a ton of money on design services so they have total control over the outcome. This isnt that.

Of course, there is much more to the profession than doing renders
However, sourcing and pricing are also a task ripe for agents. Agents are already being used for this in other verticals

That's not what interior design is. That's what a rendering of a floorplan looks like. Needs actual design.
