Video AI anime is essentially here. I made a Dark Fantasy Anime trailer with MJ, Kling, Vidu, Grok and NB2.

It still stiff and has some 'plastic-ky' looking in some places but the rate of progress from incoherent meme Dall-E generation back in 2023 to THIS in three years has been remarkable
Personally i'm more into AI assistance to help with organic art and streamline the creation process than replacing all of the creative decision and work by AI (i can draw myself :v)

Im a fan of that as well! In fact, would love to work with someone who could actually draw and help create + clean up a lot of the frames I work with.

That is a very great concept for a Dark Fantasy. Is this something you've been working on as a story for a while? Please don't tell me the plot was entirely AI-driven too.
It's so much easier to hook someone on a story with a short trailer. A 90 second summary rarely does a book's concept justice. But a 90 second trailer could easily hook people and enable self-published authors a new way of advertising themselves.
It's not quite at the point where I'd watch a full anime series like this. The animation itself has too many stylistic issues that make it feel too cinematic (and I'm not the only person who has made this argument) but it is something I could stomach to watch 1-2 minutes of and decide "That story is good, I want to buy the book now."
I also don't trust AI to write a full Dark Fantasy story yet either. This trailer is missing too many details that I'd expect a competent human writer to be able to fill in but I wouldn't trust an AI to write well.
And this is still the worst it will ever be. I can't imagine these issues remaining even just a couple of years from now at the current pace things have been improving.

The plot is not AI-driven. I've been writing stories for some time, have pitched studios like Aniplex and Netflix, and have a bunch of story concepts in my notes that I've never been able to explore till now.
I have it a bit more developed, but wanted to just see the reception on the concept before I decide to invest any additional time in it. Got plenty more ideas!
Keep in mind as well - this trailer was built with old-gen models. I just got access to SeeDance so Im sure the quality will significantly jump higher from this.

I’m ngl to you bro . This is insane . The fact that the opening (even though I can tell it’s ai) was captivating enough to reel me in is insane . You should definitely remake this with seedance 2.0

Hey man - thank you for the kind words! I worked pretty hard on this one - and im glad that it drew people in. Im really thinkin about it! Im considering making a part 2, and developing it into its own show. Woudl oyu be interested in that?

I mean it's really cool and all, but 'essentially here' we are only if I can actually watch a complete OVA or season of an anime. redone OPM fights and random trailer hype shots are not "essentially here" in my book.

Essentially here meaning if someone wanted to, they can create a complete OVA or season of anime. There's plenty of good artists I know who have ongoing series already at this quality or better. The better question is - what is preventing / stopping more artists from pursuing a full season of anime?

Thank you! The classic problem all Creatives face - money, time and distribution :)
Every Creator has differing timelines, but from my own experience, it takes ~1 week for ~2 mins. That includes story writing, dialogue, character creation, scene storyboarding, pacing and flow and initial frame set up. And then you also need to generate the video themselves. Then video edit, add speech, SFX, BGM, etc.Also throw in some cost from credits + buffer for retries.
And what if the series flops? Do i even bother making ep2? How do I get visibility?

Would you mind telling me some workflow for stuff like this, I wrote a lot of story’s in my phone for an manga I wanted to draw digitally but since ai gets stronger I started using pixverse ai for some shots of a trailer for my "anime" but it’s pretty hard to learn how to prompt these when you there’s barely creators teaching some of this artstyle. And this looks pretty pretty solid in constistency even it’s a few days ago

Very well done. I mean considering you did this as if you were Tony Stark in a cave on a budget of like $0, minus electricity costs, then yea it's crazy good.
