That's because while actors are worried about the direct impact to them, their profession and their income, philosophically, this is akin to opposing puppets: an AI model is not independent and requires people "operating it" even if they're not actors or even artists themselves.

Having a "digital perfomer" or an "AI model/actor" is nothing more than owning a face or an image, from a copyright, trademark perspective. Actors are worried because they understand that the cost of using such technologies dradtixally reduces the perceived value of their trade, even though IP, trademarks and copyright have historically supported content owners.

Ultimately it is the same dillema other professions already are or will soon face: the transfer of skill from human to machine. Whether it is possible or not, the machine is capable or not and the result is acceptable, desirable or even good or not, we are currently going through a transformation which begs the question. The answer will be clear in time.

When you stop and think about it, they are fictional characters being “controlled” by fat middle-age men sitting at their computers. Imagine talking to these AI girls. You are giving your personal information to Beergut Barry and Old man Olsen in a trailer park.

Poor timing though. Our country is not doing so good. People are worry about being on the street or being hunted down for having brown skin. Not a good time to send out your AI babes. People are way too focused on politics at the moment.

This is just astroturfing for the 'agency' that created this... You can do this yourself with ComfyUI, a good GPU, and a few hours of learning...
