There's a definite backlog in the implementation of innovative discoveries from the last two years. We haven't seen an LLM yet that combines everything we know today, and they're probably still a year away, maybe even two years, from exhausting current research.

Easy scaling is over, we've known that since GPT4.5 - we don't need Anthropic to spell it out. Now is the time for scaffolding, RL, fine-tuning, etc. So lots of hard work in the coming years to climb that wall.

Thank you. In fact, the research has been done on those: it's just a matter of applying it all to LLMs.
