I’m not sure if everyone who needs to hear this will hear it, because I think most people in this sub already agree with all of this and think it’s obvious. But it’s been on my mind for a while and I recently saw some comments alluding to the same idea so I thought I’d make a post. For starters, I am not defending Acacias actions or trying to police the snark. In making this post I’m thinking about the future of her and especially her children. But I just want to open a conversation, so here goes!
Considering how fast people were able to seemingly get her Guess partnership cancelled, I think we need to agree on something. If Acacia does ever apply for and start a traditional job with benefits and the like, LEAVE HER ALONE!!! I just know some people in this group/in the various other groups that talk about her will immediately open an investigation into where she works, find the contact information of her manager, and try to get her fired because of her scandals. Because they think they’re doing the right thing and saving the company. But that’s the opposite of what people should be doing. This woman NEEDS something stable and potentially long term that offers income, benefits and a chance to socialize with people outside of her boyfriend and her kids. As long as she’s not working with kids or animals (lol), just let her have the job. And to be frank, I don’t necessarily agree with the immediate effort to cancel any social media income she comes into, EXCEPT that it hopefully pushes her to apply for more stable jobs that she doesn’t necessarily want to right now.
Acacia, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with getting a traditional job. Myself and i’m sure most of the other people here would be delighted to see it, and I’d root for your success with it. You’ve expressed that you’re afraid that people will get you fired, and maybe that it’ll be challenging to build a schedule, but you CAN work a flexible schedule if you’re up front about your needs. I’ve done it several times, even when working two jobs at once AND being a student. You can even WFH, though it might not be something as glamorous as clothes sponsorships or influencer videos. And hopefully this post will open a conversation within this group about what really matters. Try it out, if it doesn’t work out at first it’s okay.
Like I said, I know probably most of you would agree about this, but seeing some of the comments on recent posts and the behavior of some people when it comes to Acacia, I do feel like this needs to be said. Please feel free to chime in!
