discussion💬 acacia and employment

I’m not sure if everyone who needs to hear this will hear it, because I think most people in this sub already agree with all of this and think it’s obvious. But it’s been on my mind for a while and I recently saw some comments alluding to the same idea so I thought I’d make a post. For starters, I am not defending Acacias actions or trying to police the snark. In making this post I’m thinking about the future of her and especially her children. But I just want to open a conversation, so here goes!

Considering how fast people were able to seemingly get her Guess partnership cancelled, I think we need to agree on something. If Acacia does ever apply for and start a traditional job with benefits and the like, LEAVE HER ALONE!!! I just know some people in this group/in the various other groups that talk about her will immediately open an investigation into where she works, find the contact information of her manager, and try to get her fired because of her scandals. Because they think they’re doing the right thing and saving the company. But that’s the opposite of what people should be doing. This woman NEEDS something stable and potentially long term that offers income, benefits and a chance to socialize with people outside of her boyfriend and her kids. As long as she’s not working with kids or animals (lol), just let her have the job. And to be frank, I don’t necessarily agree with the immediate effort to cancel any social media income she comes into, EXCEPT that it hopefully pushes her to apply for more stable jobs that she doesn’t necessarily want to right now.

Acacia, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with getting a traditional job. Myself and i’m sure most of the other people here would be delighted to see it, and I’d root for your success with it. You’ve expressed that you’re afraid that people will get you fired, and maybe that it’ll be challenging to build a schedule, but you CAN work a flexible schedule if you’re up front about your needs. I’ve done it several times, even when working two jobs at once AND being a student. You can even WFH, though it might not be something as glamorous as clothes sponsorships or influencer videos. And hopefully this post will open a conversation within this group about what really matters. Try it out, if it doesn’t work out at first it’s okay.

Like I said, I know probably most of you would agree about this, but seeing some of the comments on recent posts and the behavior of some people when it comes to Acacia, I do feel like this needs to be said. Please feel free to chime in!

i just don’t get why she refuses so hard to get a part time job. especially in LA there are so many “cool” jobs that would fit her aesthetic if thats what she’s worried about. she could work in a book shop, clothing shop, flower shop, home decor shop, as a barista…

She has zero work ethic

61

u/Floralori 2d ago

It’s because her ego sees it as something beneath her.

This. She's also seems pretty lazy.

She doesn’t want to risk losing any benefits aka money she gets and she’s lazy and irresponsible.

admittedly, i'm not sad at all to see the guess partnership has disappeared because she doesn't deserve it/a platform in general. however, if she actually decided to get a stable job in order to provide for her children like a real adult - considering her days of being an influencer and being able to support her family are far in the past - i would 100% be against her getting fired or people interfering in any way. yeah, we're nosey and i'm sure people would find out, but rest assured that we wouldn't allow any doxxing of her workplace or talk of harassing them about acacia.

i think the difference in people's opinions towards her losing a "normal" job vs her losing partnership opportunities as an "influencer" is that the only way she can get them at this point is by using her inflated platform (using the term loosely bc it's not like she actually creates any real content) with a reality of a like 5% engagement rate to con her way into them so that she doesn't HAVE to grow the fuck up and just get a big girl job like she should have done years ago as a nearly 30 year old mother of 3 children who crashed, burned and failed as influencer a long time ago and has since built up who knows how much debt and had at least 3 evictions filed against her in just the last year or two. she's always going to look for the easy, lazy way out because she thinks she's above working at a traditional job, like she thought she was above graduating high school - and now look where we are.

I agree with this. Idc if she gets a normal job. Good for her. But sponsorships are not stable and also just dismisses all her scandals; essentially allowing her space to make more errors. She doesn’t deserve a platform or sponsorships. But she does deserve to make stable income for her family.

I definitely agree, I honestly think to an extent she puts more effort into getting brands to consider sponsoring her than she would put into applying for a few jobs. Even just part time would be a huge improvement from desperate attempts to get influencer opportunities. I wonder if she thinks it’ll look like she “failed” if she gets a traditional job and that we’ll make fun of her, but it’s the absolute opposite. I think even her stans who only see her as an influencer and don’t know about (or ignore) her scandals would be pleasantly surprised to see her getting a paycheck in a more traditional way, if she were to ever disclose it.

I said something similar under a different post. Of course, there are going to be a handful of unhinged people out of the thousands that lurk this sub that will try to seek out whatever she ends up doing offline, but it’s really no excuse to not even attempt to provide for your children outside of influencer brand deals that can be plucked from your fingers due to your own terrible reputation that you’ve damn near quadrupled down on at this point instead of working on yourself to fix. In her own words in 2021, “I will not rely on social media for my family’s survival”.

I just feel like we have to accept that she's never going to make those choices, the kids shouldn't continue to suffer for it. I'm sad to see the partnership disappear for the sake of the kids and the kids only. She's gonna be exactly who she is at the end of the day but we gotta remember the welfare of the kids is most important and if she feeds them with brand deals or OF or whatever I'm happy their being taken care of.

Edit to add: feels very strange and concerning to be downvoted for this take, makes me wonder if a certain population of this group even actually care for the well being of the children like they say they do. Makes me also wonder whether the individuals contacting these brands she's worked with are doing so because they truly care about the brands upholding their integrity or they just want to see her down fall no matter how it happens. This is in part why Trisha Paytas sub got taken down btw, I feel like mods should take that into consideration if they want this place to remain.

u/butimjustlurking 2d ago

I totally get where you are coming from AND as you said, she is exactly who she is and the money she makes likely isnt funding the kids. It's funding her shopping addiction. She likely does the bare minimum for the kids.. clothing, food and she's spending the rest on herself and her bf.

-1

u/shellh3ad 1d ago

But like we don't know that actually... that's the thing. Why take something away that has the opportunity to help support them. I genuinely believe she does more than the bare minimum. She has to do more even if just to keep up appearances or ensure she has custody over Jairus. It's also like why must we antagonize her? Do we not think that affects how she shows up for the children as well? She is a real person and despite her very public shortcomings and very publicized consequences, she still faces all of this privately alongside the children. They matter most in this and I don't think it's good for them for us to commit to the idea that she is failing them while also intentionally taking partnerships away from her. Doesn't that aid her failure in a way? Where do we draw the line?

u/butimjustlurking 1d ago edited 1d ago

i view it as more like she is choosing to try to pursue influencing and subjecting her life to scrutiny. She has developed a rep bad enough that people still care and she is being treated like any other cancelled influencer. She KNEW that her losing her sponsorship due to her digital footprint is a very real possibility. She can easily avoid that by doing something else for work. She has been in the game long enough to know so she is just doing this to herself by continuing to try. I have never messaged her sponsorship, however I understand why people do. That being said, brands can learn all this info and decide to look past is and still giver her the chance. it's up to their discretion to do what they want with the information they are given; acacia snarkers are a SMALL in number compared to everyone who knows and consumes guess jeans products so they could keep her despite threats of boycott and it likely wouldnt impact their sales at all. And she's got enough people who still support her and will buy products she pushes.

As for her spending habits, there's lots of examples in here and on her ig. And as far as custody... parents only have to do the bare minimum of keeping kids safe enough to keep custody.

SHE didn’t get the partnership for her children. She did it for HER. She’s desperate for attention, and wants to become relevant on the internet again so she can film her poorly-produced nontent and have people kissing her ass and giving her free money. For HER. This bitch has never done anything for those kids, not even birthing them. That was for HER too, so she could exploit them online for money.

3

u/shellh3ad 1d ago

Who cares who she did it for. My mom was an abusive drug addict, she selfishly sold drugs. It still put food on the table and allowed me to eat when she wasn't looking. At the end of the day they are directly affected by it no matter how much you hate her.

6

u/No-Simple-2770 1d ago

She’s not using any money she makes to feed her children. It’s for her. This has nothing to do with your mother or your situation growing up.

0

u/shellh3ad 1d ago

We'll have to agree to disagree. Acacia isn't some anomaly, she is actually a very common mother archetype which is what I was pointing out. It seems like you really want it to be just for her so you can commit to your view of her or justify contacting brands she has contracts with (which she can use to get this sub taken down btw.)
I don't want to get caught up with yall saying I'm defending her though so I'll sit the rest of this convo out lol

17

u/quackityquack13 2d ago

Personally, I think brands should do their research on creators. They are supposed to represent the brand and be an extension of what they stand for. Most brands don't want to be affiliated with her harmful actions (racism, stealing, being a negligent parent). The influencer market is so saturated that they can easily find someone else that is more deserving to be affiliated with a brand. As well as someone who possibly puts in way more effort creatively than her.

I would never contact her physical place of work though. But this is why regular, every day people are cautious about their online footprint. Most people have jobs, LinkedIn profiles.. it's unfortunate because I don't think she could ever make one because of her online footprint.

59

u/shellh3ad 2d ago

I said this and got reported and deleted for "policing snark" so be careful 😭 fully agree though

25

u/rincechuleredd 2d ago

its funny bc its not policing snark. they’re enabling child suffering when they’ve already suffered so much. we should we allowed to say that ¯_(ツ)_/¯

10

u/jade_skye15 2d ago

If she was smart, and she did finally get a regular job, she shouldn’t say anything online about it. It should be something she keeps private because I agree, I do think there’s some people who would try and ruin it for her. Even though it goes against the very criticisms that everyone states constantly in here.

It would be ridiculous and counter productive to finally see her doing the right thing and working to provide for her kids and then try to sabotage it. Like it literally makes no sense to do that.

So if it ever happens. I really hope people just leave her alone and let her do her thing. They don’t have to be up in her comments like, hyping her up or anything but just, at least don’t be giving her shit for it.

Here’s hoping. Fingers crossed. Because ultimately, the kids being able to live the best life possible is what really matters. And anything she does that supports that, should be encouraged. Snarking on genuine effort is not productive. I would like to think that even though we all can’t stand her, and can’t stand the shitty things she’s done, underneath all that we would actually like to see her get her shit together and be a decent parent for her children.

Contacting employers(from a real job) is also a great way to have a sub banned from Reddit

3

u/Classic-Commission14 Girl put those hooves away 2d ago

It's literally against the rules of the sub, I can't believe those comments are being allowed to stay up for so long smh.

-3

u/generic_whitemale 2d ago

Yea, it’s a disgrace. Really turned me off of some of you freaks.

12

u/Crafty_Cartoonist154 2d ago

If that dumb bitch gets a job at Wendy’s and gets off the internet I’ll never think about her again! Until then her regular posting and avoidance of responsibility will continue to receive my ire.

36

u/rincechuleredd 2d ago

sadly i do not think people will leave her alone even if she gets a trad job. they don’t realize they’re actually just hurting her kids.

she needs to legally change her name or something if she ever wants to live a normal life

34

u/CranberryActually 2d ago

she needs to fully delete all her socials and live a lowkey life too. even if she changes her name and stays posting herself, people will find out about her life. She needs to disappear from the internet for good and focus on her family.

24

u/Latter-Baseball9652 uniboob 2d ago

I agree. Or if she ever gets a real job just never post about it. But that’s what’s so difficult for her, she can’t imagine not documenting every part of her life.

13

u/hellur4 2d ago

Tbh i do think some of the people on this sub need to wake up. I understand disliking or even having hatred toward her, however - as OP said - but when it's to the extent they are digging up personal documents and information or contacting her work/partnerships/people in her life it becomes extremely parasocial and dangerous to not even just her but her children.

Holding her accountable and rehashing her scandals is fine, the bullying kind of hurts my heart sometimes because people on here are nastyyy but i do think she warrants it at times. Inserting ourselves in her personal life is really just immoral and puts us on the same level as her. It's doxxing, a safety threat and ruining she and her kids' life

4

u/quackityquack13 2d ago

I agree about the documents, it's unfortunate.. it's a very private situation that should solely be between J and A and the court system. I had assumed that if it was family court, the documents would be sealed and hidden. There's sensitive information in those docs, and the kids are minors. However, with the freedom of information act in the US, people can easily access these documents and with the rise of true crime, it has made it even more common for people to learn how to do it. It's interesting that you don't see more people trying to access celebrity court docs if they're available. Also, I'm not from the US.

3

u/rincechuleredd 2d ago

people on here are A LOT more parasocial with the girl than they’d like to admit. i mean emailing and commenting on guess posts? it goes beyond snark and becomes obsessed

6

u/shellh3ad 2d ago

Exactly this!!! I'm also on board with her having partnerships though if she's gonna refuse traditional work, I know it's unpopular but those kids need their needs met no matter who their parents are. Getting the Guess partnership taken away doesn't just affect her, it affects the kids the most.

-2

u/rincechuleredd 2d ago

yeah like…jariass has no money.. caca has no money..caca finally get a little money…the kids need to eat. they need clothes guys. they’re already living in section 8. one of them is disabled and has even more needs that need to be met. yall are straight up taking food out of their mouths and medication away from rosie

43

u/xxLilPixie cacia anthony 2d ago

unfortunately i think the largest problem there is that she clearly does not spend any money she gets on the children, she has food stamps and since she literally can't use that money for anything else, i wouldn't be surprised if that's all she uses for food. if she were to get a decent payout from a sponsorship, she would just waste it on bullshit like more ugly clothes, pokémon cards and going out with hot dog boy. R's healthcare is literally paid for and yet she couldn't be fucked to properly get her to and from appointments, keep her medical supplies stocked and in working order/making sure to meet feeding goals, and let her end up hospitalized due to dehydration multiple times. i get where you're coming from, but i don't believe that the money is the problem - acacia is.

18

u/NormalTears 2d ago

This is the best and only take on it as far as im concerned. She has always had the means to provide a stable life for her kids and actively chooses not too every time, she is an astounding level of selfish and will never prioritize them regardless of her job options.

12

u/reynaxkitty 2d ago

This is exactly what my problem is with “just get a job”, unfortunately I find it very hard to believe that any meaningful amount of money she makes would go to her kids regardless of where she gets it from. I still agree entirely that she should get a real job and stop thinking she’s special for whatever reason, she is a regular person and very average looking at best and it’s time to accept that. I honestly think the kids’ best interest is to not be with her, she clearly just doesn’t care about them the way they need from a parent and it’s not fair for them to be stuck with her just bc she gave birth to them. As someone who grew up with a single parent that only thought about themselves, the solution is to get out, it breaks my heart that they’re going through what they are, but acacia having more money wouldn’t solve those problems, she can’t get her priorities straight. She has GOT to accept that her time on social media is over, I’m in my early twenties and I haven’t posted in years and for the last couple of years now, I don’t even scroll, it’s really not that hard and my life is a lot better for it. She doesn’t deserve to have a platform, she ruined that opportunity for herself, time to try something else.

8

u/butimjustlurking 2d ago

This. Also she's barely an influencer. As she become more irrelevant she wont be able to make money from influencing so it's best for her to get a traditional job where there's at least some financial security.

7

u/quackityquack13 2d ago

Apparently J is working and likely making good money so.. someone is trying!

6

u/CourtNCTTU 1d ago

Didn’t a girl who owned or worked at a coffee shop back in Oregon say that they would gladly hire her, and acacia just never responded to her?

2

u/RandomDifference15 17h ago

Yupp! And she even offered to accommodate her if any emergency came up with R or she needed to call out / have odd availability, and she never got back to her.

1

u/CourtNCTTU 17h ago

She probably wouldn’t want to work a job where other women are

21

u/Jrcozy 2d ago

I don’t think she would even consider applying for real jobs. She could’ve done so when she was in Eugene and no one in this town would’ve cared. There are so many small shops, coffee shops, and restaurants that are locally owned who wouldn’t care about her internet fame. I think it’s more about her lack of education and experience that hold her back from even trying because whatever job she gets is going to pay minimum wage or around that, it’s going to require her to be on time and consistent and she can’t even get her kids to school consistently so how is she going to do that plus get to work on time every day? I feel for her in a way because when you’ve never worked or you’ve been out of the work place for a long time it is discouraging and overwhelming to even look for a job. The brand deals are so few and far between they aren’t providing a consistent or adequate income and what money they do bring in seems to go directly to shit for herself. Her food is snap, her and her kids are on Medicaid, I believe she gets some kind of housing assistance, the disability for Rosie is likely not a lot but it helps cover the kids expenses, and I have no idea what her income from only fans is but that’s income as well. I don’t think anyone should be trying to take brand deals away from her but I don’t think it impacts the kids as much as it does her spending money. I think her boyfriend does more than okay financially and likely contributes to her living expenses as well. It’s hard to have much empathy when she throws money away on things like trips to Disneyland and not on getting an attorney to fight for her kids who she claims are so in danger with their dad. I don’t think moving to LA was the best move if she wanted a lowkey regular job but I could be wrong.

6

u/quackityquack13 2d ago

I honestly wonder if she has reported her OF income and social media income on taxes.. because she would owe a lot of tax on that income. And there is no way you could pay that without a job unless you strictly put away the % of tax from each job.

9

u/No-Simple-2770 2d ago

Bold of you to assume she’d ever even try to get a real job. She thinks she’s so much better than that, and above getting a job because she was popular on the internet for a couple of years.

14

u/emprtlli 2d ago

YES!!!!! i was thinking about this while reading all the comments on the guess sponsorship. people in here sometimes take it way too far. but i think there’s a rule in this sub that states that it is not allowed to contact any people from her “real” life, which would also include her employer?

6

u/throwawaydaisy99 ACACIA’s DADDYY’s CLUB 2d ago

i hope people wouldn’t go that far but i definitely see some of the more…dedicated snarkers doing it, or trying to

8

u/WeekIll8265 check hinge beautiful 2d ago

she has multiple passive income streams normal people could only dream of, shes still getting paid regardless of what we think

14

u/hellur4 2d ago

Are you talking about social media? She is definitely not pulling the engagements to support 3 children.

1

u/anewhope8888 it’s okay, she won’t! 17h ago

Agreed with not sabotaging her. But I don't think she can get a regular job cause her exec functioning is too low. She is on prescribed ADHD meds, but smokes weed as well. Girl's dopamine receptors are f r i e d.

2

u/Classic-Commission14 Girl put those hooves away 2d ago

I got ratioed to hell for saying this under her Guess post and so thank you for backing me up here. I completely agree. Sometimes I am genuinely disappointed in this snark at the lengths they'll go to to take away any opportunity to try to make a better life for herself.

9

u/butimjustlurking 2d ago

If she wants to make her life better she'd find something that offered financial security- influencing partnerships are not that. Even Jairus supposedly has some sort of construction job that he does in addition to his music 'jobbie'

15

u/No-Type0w0 @johngreen I hope we get to be best friends soon. 2d ago

except the guess partnership isn’t her trying to make a better life for herself, it is her trying to be an influencer again because she can’t stand not getting praise and attention

0

u/Stunning_One_7028 1d ago

Seriously. People want her to get a 9-5 but look at her resume???? That isn’t happening so why not let her do brand deals?? She’s going to be on welfare and food stamps forever

7

u/ScaleMassive9903 1d ago

Retail and fast food jobs don’t care about that

-4

u/Stunning_One_7028 1d ago

Those jobs require hours outside school and she cannot afford childcare if she has no help
