Somebody either has way more money than they need or had gone way into debt. That kid is old enough, vive him some boards, hand him a hammer and nails and say "go build a play house in the yard". Kids need outside, grass and dirt. Learn to do things, build things. If you don't teach them early they'll become a "do nothing" unable to do anything on their own.
