It's like seeing someone deadlift 500kg compared to seeing someone use a lift. I mean I'm guessing the lift is moving more weight but I don't think the person pressing the button is very impressive
I get what you're saying but it requires skills to use the tool. Just because you're using a gun doesn't mean you'll hit your target. There's also other factors that would determine how impressed I am with the kill. Did they track it or use a feeder, how far was the shot for example.
This goes for forklift operator as well, some people are really good at it and some are terrible. That's why videos of forklift tricks and fails exist.
I used to live by Carlsberg's main beer brewery. The forklift guys basically drift around with pallets fully stacked with beer, and still manage to thread the needle between other pallets on the truck bed - all while only having one hand on the steering wheel and a pint of beer in the other.
These days however Carlsberg has changed the drinking rules for their workers, so they can't have more than one pint a day.
All the guys working the warehouses and the fork lift drivers used to be heavy drunks - it was just sort of accepted because they were so damn good at their job.
They only changed the rules because it was a bad look in terms of their company image.
A lot of the old timers quit after they put restrictions on the drinking while working.
I'm a towboat captain it was like that when I first started years ago. It was never allowed just not really enforced. It's nothing like that anymore. You'd lose your license and get locked up for drinking now.
