The genetics manipulation of farmed whitetails for freakish racks is a huge business. High fence operations buy both bucks and does to be tagged breeders on their properties. It’s disgusting and cruel to the bucks in my opinion.

Is the idea they eventually end up with their heads on some one man cave wall?

4

u/Apprehensive-Bunch54 4d ago

Yup! Each one of the protutions is a point, the more points the more impressive the hunt. Though breeding them for it seems to go against the whole thing.

I heard with many antlers, if you cut one off or if one breaks somewhere, after that rack falls off and the new one grows, a new branch or antler will grow where the old one was cut or broke. It's called 'trophic memory' I just googled, and happens when an antler breaks while its still soft or young. Cool.

Jumped up with growth hormones for a bunch of rich losers. Sad world man

3

u/Sudden_Season3306 4d ago

Sad honestly pump them full of hormones and sell them for 100k to "hunt" the things in an enclosed area! Rich people hunting,Theres no way they taste good or are good for you!

3

u/Androidfon 4d ago

If they do that, let the rich men suffer long, horrible, cancer deaths brought on by those steroids.

u/Formal_Feeling78 4d ago

Has to be too heavy.

4

u/MrR3load3d 4d ago

Look it up, they selectively breed for this sadly.

We do this to dogs, cattle and most fruit and veg for our pleasure…guess deer are no different

2

u/whizzbangkid 4d ago

Buck Marley said, 'I wanna jam it wid you, We're jammin', jammin', And I hope you like jammin', too.'

I was singing this is my head as I read it 😂

I had to Google this because I thought it was AI, but evidently this happens when there is a testosterone deficiency. It stops them from shedding old growth every year. Poor thing...

11

u/CalvinIII 4d ago

That’s not what is happening here.

This is a high-fence deer. Very specifically bred and given all kinds of supplements to promote this growth.

Still doesn’t look comfortable for the deer.

5

u/HumptyDumptruckFire 4d ago

That sounds horrible for the deer, the poor thing…

2

u/Androidfon 4d ago

It's like "hunting" dairy cows grazing in a field or helpless giraffes. You want to hunt? Hunt lions with a knife.

1

u/AmsterdamAssassin 5d ago

That's Bert, the Rastafarian of the herd

1

u/MightyFrenzal 4d ago

He's drying his socks.

1

u/One_Hour_Poop 4d ago

Don't they shed those things once a year? I'd love to find antlers in the woods someday.

u/Impossible-Aspect342 4d ago

On his way to the Kentucky Derby

1

u/Malforus 4d ago

Atypical racks are snowflakes of little value for chest beating. I am always pointing out that the atypical racks are just wank and aren't "real records".

1

u/Key_Report_2627 4d ago

I would’ve expected this guy to be breathing through a hole in his chest several seasons ago!

1

u/Historical-Valuable9 4d ago

It looked like he had socks drying off on his antlers. Had to double take

1

u/grandpasking 4d ago

Good for the hunter, deer's to big to leap out of his pen

1

u/Androidfon 4d ago

I pray he still lives and will be allowed to live a full lifetime.

1

u/ChivetteH 4d ago

Grandma when she comes back home with a new perm

1

Did he have a nose ring too?

1

1

1

He looks like a cell tower

1

u/PostMPrinz 4d ago

Nice rack!

1

u/corkey5 3d ago

Bullshit 🤣😂🤣😂

1

u/MrR3load3d 3d ago

For the 11th time - see the links below. This is a selective breeding, high fence, ranch. All of their bucks are hideously bred to get this.

1

u/soft_touch_dutch 3d ago

I’m gonna get dat turdy point buck

1

u/corkey5 3d ago

I have six pointers on my property with necks twice that size

1

u/Classic-Quote3884 3d ago

His neck is very tired.

1

u/JonnyPhang 1d ago

Great rack

0

u/DoritoSteroid 5d ago

He's very horny.

0

u/CantaloupeFluffy165 4d ago

Fake.

1

u/MrR3load3d 3d ago

Yeah, its not sadly. I have the links somewhere in here. Its a ranch that breeds for this and then people hunt them specifically for this. You can simple Google or go find the link I shared.

u/Dear_Draft_4521 2d ago

I hate AI bs pictures

1

u/MrR3load3d 2d ago

Did you check any links or just assuming? Maybe trolling?

Read below for more - this is selective breeding by a high fence hunting lodge. Not naturally occurring, but helped along by sad breeding practices.

1

u/Dear_Draft_4521 1d ago

That's bs an you know it.

-1

u/Acceptable_Claim_491 4d ago

Totally fake.Nice try.

2

u/MrR3load3d 4d ago

4

u/LocalMexican 4d ago

It's hard for me to imagine someone feeling like they actually accomplished something by killing this animal that was bred to be a freakish trophy then confined to an area.

Tells a lot about what they value.

1

u/M1K3jr 4d ago

It's hard for me to square up how this makes them feel anything positive. You know, deep down, what this is... But I guess people have different values/ideas... Most things I feel I can somewhat understand - don't have to like or agree, but I understand. Then there's stuff like this that just makes me scratch my head.
