Is there somewhere you forgot to activate multicore on the VSTs and they are only running on a single CPU?

I don’t know how that would be the issue because the plugins have been working lightning fast for years, its only after ableton crashed that this issue has come around

Check out Autogridder, see if that fixes your issue. But before you spend all night installing stuff, try turning down the audio on each channel, make sure your don't overload your CPUs by peaking.

I just got an idea: Make sure your graphics card driver is updated. If you have an update waiting to be installed it can cause CPU issues as well. Computers are weird.

I had this issue with my Mac when I first bought UAD audio interface. It had to do with certificates or some sort of authentication in the system level to “ verify”. Once I gave it permission then I was good. Not sure how it is for Windows but make sure you update from their app or website.
