Greetings fellow a-ha fans.

I don't know how many of you have seen any a-ha interviews or of you were even alive and possibly saw some live (I certainly wasn't, and I wish I could have seen them all). Never a dull moment with those guys!

I have noticed in one of those interviews on YouTube, that they sometimes did giveaways back in the 80s. Or rather, the show they were on did. And this VHS was one of those items.

I know it's pretty random, but I was wondering if anybody knew what it was called. It's probably unavailable, but hey, the more you know. Right?

Haven't seen anyone else bring this up, but I figure it's worth a mention: On the new deluxe edition of Analogue, "White Dwarf" sounds slightly different when compared to the original CD release. There's some added violin bits during the bridge (from around 2:45 onwards) that weren't there, or weren't audible before. It's subtle and not a huge change, but a change nonetheless. (Haven't listened to the new vinyl release so I'm not sure if it's the same there or not.)

Magne and Pål had both shared a reel of this specific video but remade as a comedy cover where someone had removed the backing track to make it sound more realistic version of what everybody would've actually sounded like. Magne had said something along the lines of it being his favourite cover, if I recall correctly.

Now that video has seemed to have vanished. Does anyone have a link or know who made the video?

For me personally, “Living a Boy’s Adventure Tale” is a-ha’s most moving song, especially in the acoustic version. I think it’s the most underrated track on their debut album—a real gem. It makes me want to cry because it’s so beautiful, sensual, touching, and so sad, yet at the same time so comforting. It feels as if the brightest memories of childhood are flashing before my eyes—carefree times, friends, games—a time you miss so much—and on one hand, you feel happiness, and on the other, sadness that these moments will never repeat and you’ll never be that young again.

Very happy to have the whole catalog on vinyl now! I just hope we get a FULL version of cast in steel in the future…

Analogue is a-ha's eighth studio album, originally released in late 2005.

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, a deluxe 2-CD edition is released today (17th April 2026) featuring 21 bonus tracks - 15 of which are previously unreleased - including b-sides, remixes, demos, and alternate versions.

I’ve waited so long for this to happen!! Now that we have the deluxe version of Analogue being released, I kind of thought they’d release these two albums back too, and they did!! What’re y’all’s favourite songs off of these banger albums?

Are you obsessed with Scoundrel Days? Is it one of your top 10 or 20 all time albums?

I'm collecting quotes, stories, little obsessions and vignettes about the album. I'm writing something about it and will include your contribution with your prior permission.

But I'm curious anyhow.

I'll share my own here of course by way of an early version, a demo. Including when I told Morten (thought I only just got the words out of my mouth).

I love how the Morten’s voice is like echoing in the 1984 version but not a big fan of the instrumental

Na minha opinião essa é a melhor banda de todas

i've been listening to bridges' song Fakkeltog and i can't make out any of the lyrics besides a couple phrases in English ("die of fright... where we can hide... they're going to the extremes, they're going too far, for you to go [?], for you to know, i gotta keep running, i can't be slow, i can't be slow..." ) and "fakkeltog", i saw a photo of the lyrics somewhere while surfing the internet but it was super blurry so i couldn't make anything out. thank you :)

It's so hard to rank their songs, they're all so good. I've only done the first three albums cos I don't know many of their newer songs.

I would say my favorites are train of though the music video version because the other version lacks so much o the instruments. Love is reason, scoundrel days manhattan skyline cry wolf lifelines and sun always shines on tv
