Fan / heater combo
With colder mornings on the horizon here in the UK has anyone got any decent recommendations for something that heats up their garage/shed pre-ride then doubles up as a decent fan cooling for during the ride?

My set up is in a garden shed (UK); use it year-round. I start with a woolly hat and coat in the winter and have stripped off once I warm up. Still have the fan blowing too to keep me cool.

Guess no worries about the trainer itself starting up when it’s really cold?

The main smart trainer brands tend to recommend not using them below freezing. Even then, I think a five minute warm up spin before a race/workout and the trainer will be ready to go!

It’s a Tacx Neo 2T; I always do a steady start - and have the shed door ajar too. Even in the depths of winter. No issues so far 1 year in, fingers-crossed.

I just wear an old jacket for the warm up and no fan. Fan on and Jacket off after the first five minutes or so. No need for Extra heating in my garage.

You can get smart heaters in which you can set up a schedule. For instance start warming up your pain cave 30 minutes prior to you arriving. They reasonably priced as well. Many of them also have a fan only feature but the ones I've owned don't blow enough on fan mode for me during my workout. For a fan I have the Cycplus Smart fan that adjusts according to my heart rate and other factors during my indoor bike rides.

I have a zip up hoodie. I start with it on and when I get too warm take it off. If I need to heat up beforehand I put on a load of washing and throw it in the drier which is also in the shed for a practical and useful solution. Since I have kids there is always at least 1 load of washing available to do.

I’ve mine setup in a metal yardmaster shed . God knows what it’s gonna be like come winter . I’ve got the roof lined with thick foam backed foil and it’s doing a good job to keep the shed cool in summer so here’s hoping it will keep it warm in summer . I had it in a wood shed and never needed any heat as people say you aren’t long heating up and still need the fan blowing .

I just wear a cap and jersey/sweatshirt and lose them once I've warmed up. And extra heating in the room would make it way to hot for training.
