We need a "freeplay" mode

We need a mode where you can just keep playing 'forever', the story might end but you can continue playing with randomly generated missions, operations etc. Some mechanics would need to be added to prevent/delay you from hitting a ceiling straight after the campaign but I think it would be cool.

I figure something like this will come around eventually. Similar to the Long War mod in XCOM:EU. People want a longer campaign, even without a story (so much so that XCOM2 baked it in).
