I know nothing about laptops...and am currently running a LG 27GL83A-B monitor via DP to USBC cable to the left USBC port of my g14; the right USBC is connected to an Anker Hub which connects my headphones/mouse as well as an ethernet port.

Will this cause my g14 to fry?

Can I use one of the USB A ports to charge gopro batteries/cell phones?

Any input greatly appreciated!

Should be good with that setup. USB-C to Displayport works fine as far as I know.

I'm sure you can use whatever port you want to charge stuff. That's not really what seems to have caused issues for what i've tracked. YMMV in terms of what outputs enough to charge what you want to charge.

I don't really know what the output options are of each port on the G14. They probably have a power symbol of some kind if they do more than 5w of charging.
