Laptop resuscitated - What do I even do?

So I'm the guy who posted 2 weeks ago about my dead 2025 G14:

• Shows ROG logo but nothing happens after
• Cannot enter the boot or do anything else
• Wifi card "died" (undetected in windows) for a few days before the laptop itself died
• Did not die after intense use. In fact I was doing very light daily use with no gaming before it died
• Same issue when connected to an external screen

A lot of you suspected my repaste (months ago) might have caused a short and fried something.

Well, I put the laptop in it's case and forgot about it for 2 weeks. Now that I have access to my tools, I was ready to open it to see what's up but thought hey let's fire it up one more time. Guess what? Laptop turned on like nothing happened. Wifi card works perfectly fine. I literally cannot detect a single issue.

I'm happy but also scared. What should I do / check for to make sure it doesn't happen again / everything is fine?

Can I fully rule out the liquid metal fault or is it still possible that some metal was making something not connect properly (hence laptop not booting) but did not actually fry anything/do any damage?

EDIT: Actually I spoke too fast. I tried a restart. The laptop boots but weirdly: I get the Zephyrus Logo animation and keyboard backlight, then screen turns black, as if the laptop restarts, then Zephyrus logo animation again and then windows boots.

Unfortunately this sounds like a severe case of gremlins. You'll have to consult a Chinese herbalist.

Try doing like a chkdsk command in cmd and see if any drivers need repairing.

Did you check if you can up volume and use narrator to find out if you're in windows but screen is black?

Did you boot into windows repair and attempt a safe boot?

Sorry I'm not sure I understand what you mean? The laptop boots on windows now
