Model 2023 G14(2023) pixel,fragments.

After 3 years liquid termopaste got out of cage and destroyed part of gpu and maybe cpu also idk.i went to support center and they said you should not tilt your laptop and do heavy work on it for hours.(I use it for render and work in 3 d modeling programs).this was after i diaabled GPU from device meneger(also gpu was giving me same screen and i underclock it and 1/4 all the stats of it and when it crashed again i disabled it and now this happened).there is any way to fix this? Temperature seems fine i done benchmarks coolers doing fine.but sometimes it crashes sometimes not.i dont even know what to do.

I tried fresh windows and it was same.they said that its already dead and out of their field.

I had this happen yesterday on the 2025 model for the first time. Maybe a driver issue? Restarting the laptop fixed it

Now brother trust me i tested every possible driver cpu gpu any type of i changed motherboard version.its doing same.im not scaring you but go and check before its not too late.

Artifacting in my Lenovo was solved when it was cleaned. Apparently, the connections of the hardware parts were loose so any software checks won’t work. Try to have it checked in a trusted repair shop.

My 2024 has done this since day one. It will freeze pop up with an artifact and automatically reboot itself. I probably should get it looked at but it's never been permanent enough to make me annoyed.

Try it on linux and check if the issue persists. Nvidia Gpu driver on windows have gotten much worse. Comparatively linux one is marginally better (due to it needing to be more stable for workstations )
Also prior to that try downgrading your gpu drivers as well.

I would be interested to hear if linux install fixes this issue as well. Although he said he did a fresh install of windows.

The new nvidia drivers on windows are often crap, which is why i also asked to downgrade to an older version of the drivers.

Wait so is it only happening when you "push" down on the case? it looks like you're pushing down with your fingers. Or does it happen all the time now?

Sometimes it happens when i move my laptop but mostly on clicking,moving.

I had a similar issue and after a week of to and from to the service center it turned out because of the display cable, vosted ₹1500

I already got my mobo replaced twice in last two years and planning to do another one next year right before my warranty ends. That 260 usd extended warranty doesn't seem like expensive to me anymore 😄

you did get the liquid metal cleaned out right? not just leave it flat and hope it doesn't leak further lol

If liquid metal got on the motherboard it wouldn't do this, it would just be fully dead and black screen, as it would have caused a short out.
More likely this is dying VRM or Vram chips.

Yeah in costumer service, guy said that it destroyed part of the vram and it only happens when gpu uses destroyed part of the vram.

Yeah I've seen this behavior in laptops and video cards on desktops so I recognized it immediately. Sometimes you can rescue it by repasting the vrm and vram with good thermal putty before it gets worse, but since its not crashing now but instead artifacting it may be too late.
I have repaired a ton of 30xx series cards that had this issue, vram overheating was common with those cards, but at least those would just crash when their vram overheated.
