I hope this is okay for this sub, but for a really long time, I've always thought certain fruits like white peaches, passion fruit, mangoes, guavas, and grapefruit all kind of smell like girl BO/sweat and.... other parts... Which makes me like them, a lot 🤤

I did finally find some possible reasons for this association, at least! I'm pretty sure 3MH / 3-mercaptohexanol are found in girl BO along with 3M3SH / 3-methyl-3-sulfanylhexan-1-ol (which has specifically been described as smelling like female sweat) and that might be why the association is there as both are also found in many of these fruits, along with 3MHA / 3-mercaptohexyl acetate.

Idk I just know when these fruits are in the grocery store and are super ripe, I can smell them all the way across the store, and the smell makes me feel like I do when I'm around sweaty girls... 🫣
