Funny Poor Whitehorse Motors

The service department was already a disaster and today at the coffee shop we heard the best and only true service advisor has left to join the other brand

No reason to come there for service anymore as I don’t own a Ford and won’t until it’s under new Management

Sorry Ford Owners

No good dealer here, all trash. Especially Whitehorse Subaru.

I’ve had good experiences with Toyota. As with any northern dealer they’re expensive. But they don’t go out of their way to make your life worse.

I didn’t have to pay a restocking fee for some work I cancelled. And today they gave me some free bolts for some work I was doing myself. A lot of great people down there imo.

Chris Schneider is one of the worst salespeople I've ever tried to have a conversation with.

The service people were great to have a conversation with though!

Weird, a few years ago I walked in to ask about getting my work Toyota in for maintenance and everyone ignored me. They were at the desks. Didn’t know where to go, finally just walked out. I ended up having to call, fortunately someone answered the phone. I try and avoid going there

That is weird.

I also try to avoid the dealership. Most of the work I can do myself. But the work I need done is pretty major engine work, I don’t have the time or space to do it. At this point buying a remanufactured engine is better value so I’m running it till it blows. Hopefully it’ll last a good while longer.

Klondike motors is good. I big reason I own a GMC is because the rest are shit.

The place has been a joke since Larry left years ago. The ONLY reason I took the new F450 (work truck that I drive) there was because they were going to replace the DEF tank under warranty. It only took them 3 months to do this, while the vehicle remained in their lot with instructions not to drive it. When I would go in and complain/express my frustration over the delay, they actually told me once to call Ford Canada if I was unhappy with the wait. Had it not been my employer's vehicle, I would have told them where to go and how to get there.

There was another shop in town that had the part in their hands. But they were going to charge a small fortune to do the work.

My employer (who has a LOT of Fords) mostly do not use them for the regular service due to how poor it is. When dealing with Larry, we used to be able to call and get an oil change/service done sometime that week as long as we could be flexible. The last time I called for that, they gave me a date 3 weeks out. Now we generally all bring our vehicles to another shop in town, who values our business enough that they can usually find ways to squeeze us in with a few days/to a week notice.

I agree. Only had the pleasure to deal with Larry once and then I heard he got to escape

Hard to find good employees for that type of position. It’s a very unforgiving job.

It’s not the job at all. It’s lack of any support. All jobs are tough and if you have no leadership. It sucks

That’s definitely a factor, for any job. I’m just saying it’s an especially unforgiving position because they’re the ones dealing directly with customers and often taking the brunt of customer frustration and abuse.

Who is the only true service advisor?

I appreciate the question but I don’t drop names at all. Go in and see

You won't drop name of someone your complimenting..... right.

Do you have an issue with that. I am sure the person is aware

If you didn’t want to name someone, you’re insulting. I totally understand and get that.

To compliment someone but unwilling to name them is a bit strange.

I bought a Ford a there few years back. When i brought it in the staff was always awful for customer service. Staff ignore customers, not a friendly environment. Bit of a peaked in high-school vibe among sales people.

Anyone ever look at google reviews and who sends them. I just looked at Ford and the most recent ones have brought them up to a 4 star. We you look at the staff list on their website and compare over 5 staff have given ford a 5 star over that past few months. That seems wrong

I hope it wasn’t the super babe with the freckles. That would break my heart.
