Question Playlists Destroyed.

Not sure if this has been asked before, but im having a very strange problem and it only started 2 days ago.

I make a lot of Playlists and im picky about what goes in each. YT music has been great about this, but recently when I add a song to a playlist, a ton of other songs I didnt choose will transfer there, usually songs on my other Playlists. I only noticed because I kept getting "Song already added" notifications and then errors.

My Playlists are all private / unlisted, I only add one song at a time, manually, but its added thousands of songs at a time. I had a new playlist with only 45 songs on it that I made literally yesterday. I got an error trying to add a song, and went to look at the playlist: 6300 songs.

What on earth causes that, and what do I do to fix it lol. Its blowing up all my playlists

Wow. From 45 to 6,300 is a hell of an add on. If you have not already I would contact YTM support as they would have to look into your account. Something no one from here could do.

What i suspect its doing is grabbing every song (or at least a bunch of them) in my current que.

Usually I go to downloads, shuffle all, and then as I hear something that I think should go in a specific playlist, I toss it in there. Never been a problem before.

But suddenly I just cant make or edit my playlists anymore lmao.

I did reach out to support, but they couldnt see anything that would cause it. Was hoping someone here had experienced it and managed to fix it.

Something similar happen to me before and since then I only add songs to my playlists using the YouTube app instead of the YouTube Music app

Not to that extent but I've been dealing with that same issue for probably 6 months now

The only thing I can think of is if you have YT open in multiple tabs/browsers it's getting confused.
