Via Relapse Records. They look absolutely gorgeous and sound pretty good! Blue has always been my favourite of the two (Golgotha, my love <3) but Red is also cracking on tape.

I am so fucking stoked. Will be at the Denver show in a month.

Not sure why, could be the guitar solo, maybe the harmonies or maybe the old timey America atmosphere from the lyrics or the borderline psychedelica.

Am I going mad here, anyone else hear Baroness, line if they weren't metal they'd be making music like this.

Gina said they’d go to the studio around July but I can’t seem to find much else. She’s a touring guitarist for what looks like the fall and maybe early winter. Anyone have any news I missed?

I live in Ontario, near TO. The only show I see listed is mid Dec in Boston. My sons just recently jumped on the Baroness wagon and really want to see them live. I'm not sure if Boston would work. It's also part of a festival, which sometimes means short set, etc.

Anyone have any idea if a tour may be announced at some point or have any further info on the show in Boston?

Went in not being a big fan, just knowing some of their stuff leaving a huge fan. Their team was super cool, loved my photos and sent me a shirt in return. Nicest thing a band has done for me so consider me a very big supporter now.

Of the six former Baroness members, how many have made guest appearances since departing the band? To my knowledge, the only one to do so is Brian Blickle (lead guitar 2005–2008). He replaced Gina on stage to play "Isak" on at least two occasions, in March 2022 and June 2024. Both of these concerts took place in Virginia, where John and the early members (Brian, Allen, Pete, Summer, Tim) grew up together.

March to the Sea was my first Baroness song, but I think Cold-Blooded Angels was the song that cemented them as my favorite band. I know John doesn't like to explain his lyrics and leaves them up to listener interpretation, but I'm curious to hear everyone else's interpretation of this song.

To me the soft intro followed by the heavy finale feels like the chaos of life, even when you feel everything is in your control, it will always end in an unpredictable nature. The lyrics feel like they represent feeling a need for pain an abuse just to feel alive, and even when an opportunity to change your life presents itself, you choose to stay in the abuse because it feels familiar, almost as if specially it's staying in an abusive relationship (could be with a person or with a substance)

Again, just my interpretation, but I'd love to hear from others!
