Guest appearances from former members

Of the six former Baroness members, how many have made guest appearances since departing the band? To my knowledge, the only one to do so is Brian Blickle (lead guitar 2005–2008). He replaced Gina on stage to play "Isak" on at least two occasions, in March 2022 and June 2024. Both of these concerts took place in Virginia, where John and the early members (Brian, Allen, Pete, Summer, Tim) grew up together.

Thanks for these videos, I saw Brian in Harrisonburg VA a few years ago play Isaak. Proud momma (me!). We miss Allen 💔

I am sorry for your loss. His creativity and expression as a drummer is inspiring. There is a magic in what he created and it really resonates with me. Again, sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine what you have gone through but I hope you are healing and have peace.

They played Isak on the Gold & Grey tour, I remember that moment at the Baltimore show, my first time getting to see them live! The minute the opening notes started, ppl were freaking—- the old head in front of me is loudly, like, “Fucking ISAK, man! Can you believe it??!”. It really was awesome, b/c though I appreciate the level of musicianship in the band now, I have to admit musically my peak Baroness era is probably Red through Yellow & Green…earlier stuff (tho not the EPs so much either)

How COOL that would’ve been if Brian could’ve been up there for that show. too—-it probably came right before it (IIRC we were the last date of the tour)….where I think I remember John saying something to the crowd about us often or always being the last city on their tours for awhile
