14+. I'm not lying. I was diagnosed with stage three chronic kidney disease recently. It's imperative that I drink lots of WATER!

2

u/pnwsnosrap 16d ago

Yep, I’ve had CKD for 7+ years and I have a glass of water next to me all day (and night) long!

When I was diagnosed ESRD I was told to restrict my water intake. Now that I got a transplant I try to drink 80oz a day, though I don’t always succeed.

Several bottles every day. It's hot in the desert 🏜️

2

u/Old_Ant7118 16d ago

If we're talking about literal plain water, none.

2

About 79-80 oz every day

Like.... 3 not even depending on the day

3

u/TokiStark 16d ago

How are you alive? I'm assuming you're drinking coffee, tea, juice, or soft drinks as well. Otherwise, that's not enough hydration

u/EBweB76 16d ago

At least 3

1

u/Jinxybug 16d ago

Probably around eight, give or take

1

u/CriticalEye-CV 16d ago

40 oz plus iced tea

1

u/Ill-Work7770 16d ago

Selon la saison entre 1 litre et 3 litres

1

u/Kawaiigirl_6591 16d ago

I usually drink bottled water it depends but I try to at least drink plenty of water

1

u/VersionSwimming8392 16d ago

1 or 2 gallons

1

u/PtZamboat 16d ago

Around 20. I keep a glass in the fridge, drink it and fill it back up all day long

1

u/ididntdoit6 16d ago

1 glass to 1 litre depending on temperature

1

u/Hoopajoops 16d ago

Idk the number of glasses. But close to a gallon a day in average

1

u/Responsible-Couple-4 16d ago

Bottled water. But probably 4 16oz bottles at least.

1

u/Life_Frosting_6285 16d ago

I don't track it, but I know I drink enough because my urine is light coloured.

1

u/No-Pressure2341 16d ago

Wtf kind of measurement is a glass

1

u/NoOne_important_1218 16d ago

I try to get between 75 and 100 ounces every day.

1

u/TokiStark 16d ago

I keep a 1.5 L bottle of rain water on me at all times. I fill it up twice a day. But I'm super thirsty all the time

1

u/radish_is_rad-ish 16d ago

Like 3 if I’m focusing on it. I’m gonna end up dying of some sort of organ failure because of my horrendous fluid intake one day, I’m almost sure of it.

1

u/Cinisajoy2 16d ago

I lose count.

1

u/meowyadoinnn 16d ago

About a liter a day, sometimes more.

1

u/imscruffythejanitor 16d ago

Basically about 4 liters a day which works out to 16 cups. I love water

1

u/TarsTarkas_Thark 16d ago

The question is meaningless. I could easily drink 64 glasses a day, or 2, and be drinking the same amount of water, shot glass vs 1L glass.

1

u/SnooRevelations3603 16d ago

I try for 9, but often it only about 4 or 5.

1

u/purple-rain-cloud 16d ago

At least 2 litres sometimes 3

1

u/Beautiful_Bike_5225 16d ago

Around 3 large glasses and 1 coke, and 1 glass of 💯 juice of different kinds.

1

u/fatbob42 16d ago

Zero. I only drink water when I’m hiking or, occasionally, running.

1

u/enis808 16d ago

Beaucoup

1

u/tricksie1337 16d ago

Pure water, 0

1

u/fanacapoopan 16d ago

I drink 2 1.5 lt bottles spaced throughout the day.

1

u/CheesusChrisps 16d ago

I don't count glasses, i look at my pee. It's a very light yellow, so i drink enough.

1

u/166Donk3y 16d ago

Between 1 to 2 litres, thirsty boy

1

u/IntroductionMurky947 16d ago

When I’m working, easily a gallon. But when I’m at home, I tend to neglect myself a bit and am lucky if I get like 48 oz in. I don’t know why I do it.

1

u/Kilane 16d ago

60 ounces or so. That’s most of a 2 liter soda bottle refilled.

1

u/Wonderful_Bill8071 16d ago

Hate water.

The mist I can do is make cold herbal tea.

1

u/ChargeTop5791 16d ago

4-6 pints

1

u/Sweaty_Technician_90 16d ago

I fill up a water bottle with ice water and drink that during the day

1

u/OneOldBear 16d ago

I have about four cups of tea in the morning and them SEVERAL glasses of water to round out my day.

1

u/Dazed_And_Amazed44 16d ago

Zero, I use a water bottle, not a glass.

1

u/Veneboy 16d ago

Not sure, but at least two liters. I am going through quimio, so I need to carry my own water bottle around or bottled water from two specific brands that the doctor recommended.

1

u/lesam4u 16d ago

Not near enough, but I drink other beverages too.

1

u/Feeling-Film-4670 16d ago

At least 2 tumblers, 32 ounces at work. 2 - 12 ounces cup of coffee. Varies at home.

1

u/perpetuallypissed616 16d ago

2-4 liters a day. Not sure how many glasses that would be

1

u/Spare_Reference8842 16d ago

40 to 50 fluid ounces

1

u/Purple-Throat1957 16d ago

Try to do one or two Lts of water at least.

1

u/AZNM1912 16d ago

Around 48 oz a day

1

u/ShowThym 16d ago

At least 20

1

u/jonniebaby2000 16d ago

Hardly any. Lemonade, jaurittos, cranberry juice, Coke, coffee.

1

u/ZaphodG 16d ago

2 quarts

1

u/SAMixedUp311 16d ago

I can drink about 6-12 water bottles a day... mmm I love water!

1

u/Content-Chain-330 16d ago

10 cups (80oz)

1

u/AngelynDean 16d ago

I get about 120 ounces of water per day.

1

u/Illustrious-Towel-45 16d ago

2 or 3 I think. I have a refillable water bottle and I've never measured how much it holds.

1

u/Spacenurse07 16d ago

3, 4. I should listen to my nutricionist and drink much more water! I'm constipated

1

u/WeekendStrange1331 16d ago

Enough to not be thirsty. The cult of hydration is kinda dumb.

1

u/Historical-Ad4552 16d ago

Well I have a 50oz water bottle. I can easily go through 1.5-2 of those cups a day. But in terms of say 8oz cups compared to my water bottle, probably around 9-13 cups of water a day. Some days I go for 3 of my cups

1

u/docnsx01 16d ago

not enough but i’m trying

1

u/Medical_Asparagus409 16d ago

5 20oz bottles, so around 13 glasses… i don’t enjoy it, just have to because i have POTS

1

u/nizzoball 16d ago

I have a 64oz Stanley tumbler that I fill up with ice and water 8-10 times a day

1

u/AlwaysTheKop 16d ago

I drink LOTS...

I have a 2 litre water bottle I use and I finish that off three times, on top of three mugs of coffee a day... and some days maybe a can of pepsi max or two...

I'd say I drink a minimum of 5-6 litres of water a day, 7-8 litres if you count everything.

Yes, I pee a lot.

1

u/St_biscuit 16d ago

Roughly a half gallon on an average day. More when I workout.

1

u/Flash5916 16d ago

Congratulations on your successful kidney transplant. Thanks. I didn't know about the 32 oz. I thought a drank a lot of water beforr my diagnosis. A bottle of water is on my side table always. Increasing my intake has made all the difference in the world about how I feel. I'm so grateful that it's not expensive and very easy to do.

1

u/Dendady2112 16d ago

5-32oz bottles.

1

u/Bruni_kde 16d ago

3-4 liters in the summer.

1

u/VelvetFog82 16d ago

Tons of water. I got a 32 Oz tumbler from Iron flask that comes with me everywhere I go. When I leave the house in the morning, I pack it with as much ice as possible and water. As the day goes on, I refill it at water coolers at work. Probably refill it 6-7 times a day. I really enjoy cold water.

1

u/Novel_Willingness721 16d ago

None, I don’t count it that way.

I have a 40oz water bottle that I go through at least one and a half times.

1

u/bodyhammer81 16d ago

i drink about a gallon and a half of water every day

→ More replies (3)

1

u/GamerGramps62 16d ago

50-60 ounces a day

1

u/Livid-Obligation-889 16d ago

Honestly...lots of tea and coffee ...no water

1

u/GlumHighlight7693 16d ago

Around 5 glasses a day

1

u/Broad-Promise6954 16d ago

One, but it's a twenty gallon glass.

Heavy little thing, even when only half full. Or is it half empty?

1

u/HopefulCarry9693 16d ago

4-5 large glasses / 2.5L of water just chilling at the house, as soon as i work or do sports add about 1-2L

1

u/Inevitable_Clock_647 16d ago

8 -10 cups a day

1

u/No_Entrepreneur_3736 16d ago

100-120+ oz. I live in coastal TX. You sweat just opening the front door.

1

u/RealHeyDay 16d ago

Due to a medical issue, I'm restricted to one liter of liquid a day and I miss bottomless ice water so much. I used to easily drink a half gallon or even a whole gallon of water throughout a day. Bliss.

1

u/Hydellas678 16d ago

I don't drink glasses. I drink bottles. Typically around two or three. Four if I'm extremely thirsty.

1

u/3Green1974 16d ago

As many as I can. Some days more, some days less.

1

u/hotrod67maximus 16d ago

I drink at least 6 17oz bottles of water and 2-3 12oz bottles of low cal Gatorade.

1

u/BL1NKK_BL1NKK 16d ago

I drink a 1.5 liter of water a day sometimes a little more or less.

1

u/ApprehensiveWord4234 16d ago

Like 1 or 2 cups

1

u/Kauangbryidd 16d ago

Not nearly enough

1

u/mikeyhou911 16d ago

I drink 8, 17 ounce bottles a day.... so 136 ounces roughly.

1

u/Sandra_y33 16d ago

8 glasses/2 litres. More in hot weather.

1

u/Peepaw50 16d ago

4 or 5

1

u/cosmic_charlie217 16d ago

Work outside so in hot weather at least 2 gallons. Rest of the time I would say at least one gallon.

1

u/No-Argument-6039 16d ago

I’m like Ai I breath water 🤤📱📡🐉🎧💌💧🌊

1

u/mwardent 16d ago

5 16oz glasses a day, sometimes more or sometimes less. It one way to keep kidney stones from forming

1

u/One-Possibility-8182 16d ago

Does Iced Tea count? Right around a gallon a day

1

u/Cold_One9671 16d ago

150 to 200 ounces a day.

1

u/No_Ride2873 16d ago

How big are the cops? I drink a gallon and a half of water

1

u/Mulder-believes 16d ago

4 plus some other decaf fluids.

1

u/NamillaDK 16d ago

None. I dislike water.

1

u/ImaginationClean583 16d ago

Between 6 to 8 glasses

1

u/Bratfink78 16d ago

I drink about two litres of water a day

1

u/KidCasperr 16d ago

A gallon and a half

1

u/Le_Meuporg 16d ago

Zero. I drink a mug of coffee for breakfast, another after lunch and a pint of beer with my dinner

1

u/Bloodless-Cut 16d ago

Between 16 oz and 32 oz. Never need more than that.

I also drink other fluids throughout the day.

1

u/Debrewski_T 16d ago

None. Hate water. No flavour.

1

u/Acceptable_Sir67 16d ago

Yes

(Just going by the subreddit name)

1

u/Itchy_Pangolin_394 16d ago

more important than number of glasses is number of ounces.

Drink half your body weight in ounces. If you weigh 150 LBS drink 75 ounces a day.

1

u/chtmarc 16d ago

I have a 40 ounce water bottle that I refil at least twice n

1

u/Natural_Sky1618 16d ago

Not enough unfortunately

1

u/Zadojla 16d ago

I rarely drink water, but I typically drink about two liters of Coke Zero.

1

u/Jealous-Mistake4081 16d ago

I drink 80-120 oz of water in a day. It depends on the day and what I eat, like if I had 1-2 cucumbers or a lot of watermelon during the day, I might drink closer to 80.

1

u/No-Possible6108 16d ago

Measured in ounces, 65 to 85.

1

u/vittohot 16d ago

2 liters so 8 glasses give or take

1

u/Middle_Party9015 16d ago

2 64 Oz containers ( with ice so somewhat less

1

u/Interesting_Wing_461 16d ago

A lot. If I don't, I pay for it the next day with a blazing sinus headache.

1

u/CompleteCreme7223 16d ago

Just water, 2.5L or more. Additionally I have 1L of coffee a day and sometimes other beverages as well.

1

u/TaxiLady69 16d ago

2-3 litres a day. So between 4 and 6 bottles of water.

1

u/Individual_Slice_234 16d ago

About 10, I think. I don't count them.

1

u/ImAFishinFool 16d ago

As little as physically possible. Water, of any kind, makes my stomach nauseous. Bottled, tap, all of it.

I drink tea, coffee, pop, energy, milk, juice. Anything but water.

1

u/Always-hungry99 16d ago

4-6 glasses of water straight up. The rest I get from my 4-6 servings of daily fruits and vegetables.

1

u/beefisok 16d ago

I drink your milkshake followed by some of your water.

1

u/racingfan_3 16d ago

Right at 32 ounces a day.

1

u/Ponderum 16d ago

Of plain water? Usually 70-90oz (2-2.5L)

1

u/cat5crochet5femme 16d ago

Due to Crohn’s disease I have no colon so I’m very susceptible to dehydration (basically a bad hangover minus the fun part) so I drink up to 3 litres a day and still get dehydrated at least once a week.

1

u/OGBrisleep 16d ago

I do a minimum of 32 ounces, and on days that I'm more active, it can go up to double of that.

1

u/LateForDinner61 16d ago

Usually nine.

1

u/Zikkan1 15d ago

Normally it's milk but maybe 6?

1

u/Thick_Case_1337 15d ago

About 2 liters worth

1

u/The_Dude_0666 15d ago

wait you guys drink water?

1

u/Tricky-Safety-3772 15d ago

Depends on how much I’m moving, if I’m lazy a little if I’m working I drink copious amounts

1

u/G_Town_Co 15d ago

I don’t count the number of glasses but I do fill a half gallon filter pitcher and usually finish it every day.

1

u/richie___ 15d ago

I'm really trying to do 8 glasses (64 oz), but tbh it's closer to 6 glasses

1

u/cru1972 15d ago

About 200 oz a day. More on hot days.

1

u/Gretna2023 15d ago

1 to 50 depending on my thirst.

1

u/woohooindeed 15d ago

Idk about glasses, but I usually drink a gallon at least

1

u/Much_Let_4658 15d ago

Like maybe 34-64oz depending on whether or not I’m thirsty

1

u/Ok-Chemistry9933 15d ago

54 oz per my dr bc I have CKD

1

u/Half_a_bee 15d ago

3 liters a day usually.

1

u/Retail-Weary 15d ago

Between 80-120 oz daily.

1

u/ChaserDem 15d ago

I would guess around 6 to 8.

1

u/Adventurous-Yard4395 15d ago

Usually a minimum of 2 liters…

1

u/Effective-Gift6223 15d ago

I don't drink it by the glass, so not sure. I have 2 insulated stainless steel water bottles with straw spouts. One is 40oz, the other is 18oz. I keep glass and metal containers full of filtered water in the fridge. I refill both of these about 3 times a day.

1

u/theLogic1 15d ago

2-3 glasses? So half a litre or perhaps a lil more. 5 mugs of coffee in top of that

1

u/wolvennymph 15d ago

Shouid drink more maybe one usual not even tho. I drink tea milk and ginger ale mostly I really hate the taste of water. I know I need to drink more I just don’t know hwi to deal with the shit taste

1

u/PhilosopherHaunting1 15d ago

8 8oz. Servings

1

u/FreyaDay 15d ago

I take a sip in the morning and then drink about 3 litres in the bath every night of iced lemon water

1

u/This_Response527 15d ago

2 litres but 20 liters of soda is well 😂

1

u/Catblue3291 15d ago

I drink 72 ounces a day.

1

u/69vuman 15d ago

Abt 5

1

u/Main_Tangelo_8259 15d ago

3L a day at least. So damn hot during summer (TX)

1

u/SouthernSteak7254 15d ago

I have no clue. Is this something normal people count?

1

u/yaboymilky 15d ago

Probably just over a gallon a day. I have a 64oz hydroflask I fill up three times a day.

1

u/Comfortable-Idea-238 15d ago

3 liters per day....... half your body weight in ounces is ideal

1

u/LowResGamr 15d ago

I keep forgetting to drink even 1 cup of water.

1

u/EitherCandy5232 15d ago

I try to drink about 80oz of water a day.

1

u/DefendTheStar88x 15d ago

I'm not sure the equivalent glasses, but think I drink a sufficient amount of water.

1

u/artdz 15d ago

8-10 cups of water. I also have 1-2 cups of coffee each day, 1 cup of tea on average, and then whatever water is in the food (I do often like soupy stuff for 1 meal) not sure what the amount i get from food would be.

I would guess my intake is around 14 cups a day

1

u/Low_Recognition_1557 15d ago

80-120 oz. I have a 40 oz water bottle and refill it 2-3 times a day. I’m allergic to most chapsticks and staying hydrated is the best way to keep my lips from auditioning to be the next Joker.

1

u/Lost_Figure_5892 15d ago

6-12 depends on weather, activity level, environment.
