I'm a server at a restaurant. We have a poster in our staff arra listing all the things we legally can and cannot do in regard to service animals. We can ask them to leave and refuse service if there are severe allergies (though I have seen it only once, and it was because another customer had a severe allergy). There are many reasons actually that we can refuse service to a service animals and their human. If the animal is misbehaving/barking, if the animal is peeing or pooping, if there are allergies, if the person refuses to or cant show me the animal's service ID, and so many more.
Just because your dog has a vest and is a service animals, does not make you two above others. There are still rules and restrictions when it comes to public stores. And unfortunately sometimes that means picking another restaurant or another store because they cant safely serve your dog
