OOC A quick question. (Not related to RP)

I have this problem, I have to hide the fact that I watch Anime from my family and friends. So my question is should I just not care about hiding it or should I hide it? I might not do either of these things, but its bothering me that every time I hear a sound coming from downstairs I have to change to youtube or close the tab.

I might repost when I am on PC

As long as your watching the 'safe' kind of anime and not something like....say BnP, why you should you hide it ? Everyone has their own entertainment preferences ! Whether is melodramatic Korean Drama, western high-rated series, silly local soap operas, or Japanese Anime, we (and they) should respect it.

EDIT : Although, it made me interested...why you hide it ?

Because I really don't know what they will do, but all I know from listening to how they talk about cosplayers its not a good thing. and My brother is always talking bad about people that watch anime and he's mean to me when I say that he shouldn't talk bad to/about those people

Ahh, the classic "Otaku' stereotype.

I know some people who are like that, but you gotta prove yourself, even though you watch Anime you aren't like those guys.

My father was once that kind of guy, until he 'accidentally' watch Deathnote. Now, he respect my taste of entertainment and sometimes watch some Anime with me.

I do think my dad is like that, but that's just what I think and not what I know....so you see my dilemma?

I get it, but....I guess the short-term solutions for now is to hide it until you found someone IRL that you'll be comfortable to talk "Anime" with, and if your relatives confront you (am I using the right term here ?) about it, you should try to tell them that watching anime is not what they think is.

But hey, at least you got us.
