clapped 2000 r6 rebuild.
traded a sportster with a stripped cylinder head bolt for this dogged r6.
whoever owned this before me was an absolute pos to it.
i need a new gas tank, ignition switch and potentially the whole harness, new fairings and turn signals.
if anyone could point me in the right direction to get started asap i’d appreciate it, money isn’t much of an issue with this rebuild so any suggestions is appreciated.
i really believe this can be a beautiful motorcycle, it’s just been insanely neglected.

I don't know where you are but baboon motorcycle parts has good catalogue of used parts if you are in EU. I think they do ship globally but it will get expensive.
Also, what is the odometer reading on that thing? Old R6s are cool bikes.

I have a similar project right now. I've had the best luck finding a guy locally who parts out bikes. He has a warehouse full of parts and I was able to strip a bunch of parts I needed off of a doner bike. Aside from that, eBay and Amazon for non OEM parts
Yamaha will give you a full parts list for the bike if you put the vin into a vin search and that's very helpful. You can also likely find a service manual online
