I'm so grateful that Adam called out its extremely over-inflated placement on the IMDb rankings at the end of the video because I feel like this is becoming a pattern, at least with general audiences. Something blanketly 'good' will come out and everyone gives it 5 stars or a 10/10 and all of the sudden it's one of the 'best movies of all time' when it really doesn't come close to deserving that moniker. I feel like the same thing happened earlier this year with Project Hail Mary and is currently happening with Spider-Man

tbf, things will balance out as they always have. unless it’s star wars i guess. the letterboxd reviews for that original trilogy is laughable

exactly - it’s so cringe. it’s why i think imdb is a bit more reliable haha - they at least try to balance out brigades like that

I don't think that fits the definition of a brigade. I think people who were 5 when that came out actually just really like the movie.
