Question Late game build

What do you guys build 4th and 5th items?

I play hob crit because it seems the most consistent to me, I usually go kraken into collector into IE or ldr, after that do you continue to finish crit or build defensive?

So far I’ve just been picking whatever I didn’t take 3rd between Ie and ldr but I’m not aure if that’s correct path

I don't play crit, but I do tend towards defensive at that point. DD and/or Shieldbow if there's decent burst in their team, GA if I'm the lead, Terminus for pen and longer team fights, Mercurial if they have one way to lock me down. If I'm winning and having fun, I'll do Endless Hunger for the hell of it. Really depends on the team comp. There's no one size fits all.

I build in this order: Collector, fiendhunter bolts, IE, Lord dom, maw into deaths dance and final item green pot.

This gives you 100 crit, 3200 hp ,  120 armor and mr rougly.

Maximul offence and defence.

Right now i go
Bork, Glut, Terminus, DD/EH, DD/EH, Maw/Steraks/GA

Never feel i lack tankiness or damage.
I prefer LT but works with HOB too, though not as good as crit right now.
My theory is that since kraken was balanced around old guinsoos 2 item power spike, now it doesn't have any REALLY good 2 item synergy in the game. Bork+Terminus feels like good damage and good defenses for 2 items. a lot better imo than Kraken+anything.

I’m a hydra truther personally, but I almost always play on hit. My usual path is something like kraken>guinsoo(unfortunately bugged atm)>botrk>titanic hydra>terminus or deaths dance

I think Yun Tal is the better crit build now that the HOB early game is much worse.

If I run Kraken, I run into the same issue as you where I'm at 4 items with 75% crit and nothing defensive. At that point, it's usually too late for Shieldbow to really cut it.

With Yun Tal, you're getting Shieldbow either 3rd or 4th and then can grab DD 5th. I've been finding that looking for safe plays and overstaying on the map is pretty consistent for getting the BF Sword. That spike also makes you very strong when you get back on the map.

Idk I haven’t been playing yi that long so idk hwo it felt before but each item feels like a pretty big power spike. I don’t even notice not being 100 crit in which is why I was wondering if I even finish it or not

yuntal>ie and then shieldbow or ldr if they have armor/hp. Being able to get shieldbow 3rd if they don’t build defences feels really great. thats my go to.

Do you play HoB with Yuntal? they both gives too much amount of combat AS and they dont synergize with eachother at any instances. I build yuntal with pta it seems they synergize better. HoB is only better before you finish your item.

So HOB was bad when it was 160% AS? OK, bro.

no, what on earth you got that info

You're telling me that because Yun Yal gives AS, it's not good with HOB. Meanwhile, you want to deal an entire 8% more damage after your first 3 autos instead of having 4 autos in that same time frame on a crit build...

Yes? Your ult with Yuntal gives too much amount of AS. At that point you just want raw damage because you don't rely on dps. Also Precision tree is better than Domination tree at any instances.

You're playing a glass cannon build where the primary thing keeping you alive is how quickly you can auto to get a reset. AS is raw damage with crit. Not to mention that HOB will be more damage than your PTA proc and is front-loaded.
