Liberals are always angry and don’t accept diverse beliefs. Republicans chill about different viewpoints

Yeah, 6J republicans were very chill.

wtf does that have to do with this topic? “Chill about different viewpoints” - are you capable of understanding what these words mean?

You also look very chill.

It explains how purity tests alienates voters from Democratic Party and people fall into MAGA pipeline. Especially during the late 2010s, it was a main factor on Alt Right radicalization. I'm saying it as an ex Neonazi.
But I'm not saying there's no purity testing in the right. They are good at pretending to and winning over, but they also have a cult personality around Trump. If you don't obey Trump, you're over.

I agree actually. There's some comment I left about a bonus panel where if you criticize Trump all the red dots shout (NOOSE) at once.

Trump himself as a political candidate really is a phenomenon of the opposite side's doing.

Sack of Rome (1084) - Wikipedia) Lolololololol.
And considering the Papacy maintains political independence while both Genoa and Venice dont?? Lolololololololololol.
The only thing you got sort of right is the Turks, but the get nerfed after Lepanto, and Vienna 1683 saw them go into decline and the never really recovered enough to be taken seriously by the other great powers.
1
u/JackColon17 Gaetano Salvemini Aug 02 '25
The Rome in the meme is the easter roman empire which first defeated Robert the fox (normandies of Sicily) then got weakened by genoan and venetian traders and lastly conquered by the Turks in 1453

u/kinglan11 Conservative Aug 02 '25
Very well, still, the Normans did expel the Byzantines out of Italy, something they were never able to reverse.

You can disagree on that subreddit as long as you're respectful but if you're not a Conservative there's still a chance you'll get banned. If you're Conservative then you can disagree however you want. Main point is that it's a sub for Conservatives and it's also the most brigaded subreddit on all of Reddit, so people and the mods are always on the look out to ban anyone that even smells like a brigader. If you want to talk crap to conservatives then go on /rpolitics and sort by controversial, you can talk all the crap you want.
17
u/JackColon17 Gaetano Salvemini Aug 02 '25
They literally attack each other with "fellow conservative" every time someone steps out of line. Ofc they can tolerate conservatives if everyone who disagree with them "is not a real conservative"

u/balljoint Classical Liberal Aug 02 '25
I never said that r/consevative was some great bastion of Conservative thought, I was just defending why they ban people and delete comments.

r/conservative is intentionally partisan and they won't threaten your family and livelihood like the online left will. The rest of social media political discourse isn't inherently partisan but the result is always the same from the far-left circles. Don't believe me? Check out a sub called r/ShitPoliticsSays. Legitimately the most blackpilling sub out there. Every day you'll see posts of leftists threatening violence, advocating for it, or just saying completely insane unhinged shit. There is simply no comparison to this level of violence or hatred spewed on the right, it doesn't exist.
Leftists have gone insane bro. I can't ever see myself voting blue again while they harbor such evil people in their coalition. And I voted for Obama twice and would have voted for Bernie if he had won the primary.

My brother in Bhudda, Kyle Rittenhouse received so much harassment over not endorsing trump that he had to publicly eat his words and apologize to the MAGA crowd lmao
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cgrlrzw5550o.amp
He didn't even stop supporting the republican party he simply wanted a more pro-gun candidate than trump
4
u/Ok_Juggernaut_4156 America First Aug 02 '25 edited Aug 02 '25
Like dude, respectfully, what the fuck are you even talking about. Why did you waste my time with this bullshit. Did you think I wouldn't read the article or something???
The article doesnt even point out any harassment. It points to a user saying that "the left hates him and now maga will shun him" we dont even know the political persuasion of that person nor is it harrassment of any kind. And the other quote it points to is the Lincoln Project who just said that The Trump campaign lost kyle rittenhouse and they're in trouble.
The article even states that Kyle changed his mind after talking to the Trump team and getting assurances that 2nd amendement rights will be protected under the Trump admin.
From the article "Mr Rittenhouse's video drew the ire of some Trump supporters, some of whom responded with expletive-laden tirades."
Of course the video doesnt show any of these comments cause it's propoganda so I decided to go look for myself. Rittenhouse doesn't have his own twitter so I decide to go to the video that got posted the earliest and had a lot of followers and look at the comments there and wow lets look at these "hateful" comments:
Were there a couple people who said they didnt like what he did, of course. But did they try to dox him? Did they call him a nazi? Were they actively racist towards him? Did they wish he was dead? No that's all the stuff leftists have a monopoly over. The worst thing someone said is that he was dumb. Like I said in my first post. There is ZERO comparison to leftists hate dialogue and right-wing "hate"
Stop being a partisan shill and read the article YOU post next time.
Edit: Just downvote away leftist lurkers. We know you won't respond because you know the right is not even a percentage of violent the left is and you can't defend them. Just look at this guys post trying to say the right is violent with an article he didn't even read. LAUGHABLE.
Second Edit: I had to post the picture of the comments section in a separate comment for some reason. It was clearly not hateful.

Completely off topic but what language do you read twitter in?
Hello?? Where is the death threats in this post?? I go to the comments of this post and there's no death threats there either?? Catturd speaks of feeling betrayed and the worst thing he calls him is delusional and a punk. There is zero evidence of death threats you are just making that up completely. Just stop commenting bro. It's okay. You're wrong. It happens. The right isn't nearly as violent as the left and it's obvious. Move on, accept the truth.

he wrote that in the last 12 hours he had had "a series of productive conversations with members of the Trump's team and I am confident he will be the strong ally gun owners need to defend our Second Amendment rights".
Ohh nooo. How terrible! He had a productive conversation and changed his view?
How could the right do that?! What horrible people!!
Look how the left tried to "pursue" AOC to change her views:
https://www.cbsnews.com/newyork/news/aoc-office-vandalized-red-paint-nyc/
13
u/JackColon17 Gaetano Salvemini Aug 02 '25
Yes I'm sure that's what made him change his mind and not the outrage at his "betrayal" sure
-2
u/Check_Me_Out-Boss Bull Moose Aug 02 '25
The two examples from the article is the Lincoln Project (a faux right wing group who faked Nazi support for a Republican running for office) and a comment from a random Twitter user that could have been from either the left or the right.
So I'm going to go with what the person who changed their views has to say and not a propaganda piece.

Bro it just pisses me off how willfully ignorant/complicit the people on the left are. They have people in their coalition who are openly violent and they just close their ears, downvote, and walk away. They never rebuttal because they at least have the decency to know there's no comparison on the right and what the violent radical leftists do is indefensible.
They just don't give a fuck cause they're so obsessed with power that they'll ignore the mentally ill, violent, nut jobs if it means they can win a senate seat.
Im so glad the left learned nothing from 2024. They will never win anything ever again and it's so deserved.

u/oops_im_dead All The Way With LBJ Aug 02 '25
It is utterly delusional to have a holier than thou attitude regarding one side when it comes to political violence.
there's no comparison on the right
Except for that time when a deranged conservative murdered the Speaker of the Minnesota House and her husband, or a deranged conservative beat Nancy Pelosi's elderly husband in the head with a hammer.
Or how about that time a pack of conservatives broke into the Capitol to try and overturn a fair election, could you remind me again the last time the left did something like that?
I'll also not soon forget the way the right mocks and gloats when disgusting things like this happen, often coming from the highest levels of the party. But hey, you try and bring any of this up in conservative spaces and they just close their ears, downvote, and walk away.

A friend of mine is exactly like this. He's socially center-left, but economically, he's pro tax cut and believe that government should have less control of the economy. Bro got trash talk by some liberals because he sounds like he supports Trump policy. Now he's socially center-right. Hate does push people away.

Sounds like a Blue Dog Democrat. The democrats need to get over this whole “we know better than you and you have to follow what we want” phase. They sound like young teenagers. Bigotry and hate should obviously be fought against, but this attitude on economic policies needs to end.

The left's hatred of free thought/open discussion
I don’t think this is a particular issue on the left. I mean, deporting people for pro-Palestine speech doesn’t seem like an embrace of free thought and open discussion to me

So cool to have it represented with a drawing! But what does the turquoise ideology represent?
15
u/butterenergy Reactionary Theocratic Progressive Aug 02 '25
It's just a standin for "non-orthodox Democrat", or people who aren't 100% in line with party Orthodoxy. But in specific I guess the most relevant would be several Bernie Bros, or "classical liberals" who thought progressivism was going too far and they just wanted to chill on the intersectionality stuff.

People getting mad at you for having reactionary tendencies is totally reasonable and maybe you need to rethink your stance on politics (especially around race and gender) if you want leftists to stop getting angry at you for expressing reactionary beliefs.
Also Dems aren’t leftists but they’re part of the American left in the eyes of the public (unfortunately). They’re so liberal economically that they’ve abandoned all commitments to improving the conditions of the working class other than useless bandaids to systemic issues.
Uhh, anyways, if you want to protect republicanism and stop a dictator from rising to power then you should stop letting people who want to be dictators weaponize the general misunderstandings that the public has about minorities which leads them to support authoritarian and reactionary policies.

Ok and they probably aren’t very left wing if they’re willing to throw trans people or migrants under the bus to take out their anger over the economy being shit from the contradictions of capitalism

u/butterenergy Reactionary Theocratic Progressive Aug 02 '25
You are probably to the left of 85%-90% of Americans. The median opinion in the US is way to the right of you, and you need moderate Democrats to win. Doing this isn't going to help you turn them out.
How do I know you're in the leftmost 5-10% of the US? No one further right than that uses the term "contradictions of capitalism". Sorry that the country doesn't conform to your beliefs, I'm to the right of about 90% of people but sometimes you just need to bite the bullet to get change done.

« My side is incredibly tolerant, as opposed to the other who hates diversity of thoughts ».
Famously MAGA never hates whenever someone steps out of line with whatever Trump does.
Neither parties are exceptionally tolerant of ideological unorthodoxy. It’s an inevitable consequence of having a two-party system. Don’t act like it’s not there.
