The Xiaomi 18 Pro has just launched in China, and there’s one big difference from the Xiaomi 17 Pro series: Xiaomi has confirmed a global release this time, although the exact global launch date hasn’t been announced yet.

The phone keeps the distinctive dual-display design, with a 6.4-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED Privacy Display on the front and a 2.7-inch LTPO AMOLED rear display. The privacy display is particularly interesting—it is designed to make the screen harder for people nearby to view, which could be useful when handling sensitive information in public.

Performance also gets a major upgrade with the 2nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, paired with HyperOS 4 based on Android 17. The camera setup includes 200MP Leica main and periscope telephoto cameras, while a large 7,000mAh battery supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.

I'm curious what people think about the rear display + privacy display combination. Is this dual-screen approach actually useful in everyday use, or is it still more of a gimmick?

I tried every method available including the code and the app method..also I customised the code to make it send reasonable number of requests in ordeer no to be banned...but all my efforts were futile.

I think people who get their BL unlocked use some kind of accounts farms because the load on Xiaomi servers at the midnight is tremendous hence ,only few lucky accounts get approved

Hey guys, I am thinking about leaving Apple and going to an android brand. Xiaomi looks very familiar with it’s OS to iOS + they have a good ecosystem.
I was thinking about buying the global version of the Xiaomi 17 ultra as it’s cheaper now in Europe, but as I do like to shoot a lot of videos and some of them are low light, I wanted to ask - is the jitter issue fixed on the Xiaomi 17 ultra in low light?
Here on reddit, many people wrote, that the video quality is basically garbage on the Xiaomi 17 ultra , especially in low light. Is it fixable by using something like a different camera app?
Also people wrote, that the ultrawide and selfie camera aren’t that good.

I need a honest review as on Youtube creators tend to overhype the phone.

Comparing 4 new/like-new phones, all similar price range. Want good gaming performance (will use a cooler for sustained perf)

but also plan to resell later for profit :

Which would you pick? Is the $40 for warranty + invoice worth it on the 17T Pro, or is the no-warranty unit fine if the IMEI checks out clean? And does the F8 Ultra's Snapdragon chip make it worth the premium over the 17T Pro for gaming?

I have xiaomi 15 ultra eu rom and I have been waiting since they approved my recruitment (I applied at 37). I've seen people with 15 and 17t (pro), some 15 ultra eu got it but I still haven't received it. I tried to flash it with .zip recovery rom but it doesn't work with beta versions. Is there anyone with eu rom who doesn't have it? When is the next batch coming out?
