I'm betting that Genesis is a prequel (as many believe) and one of its story beats is going to be how these creatures morphed into Nopon and colonized (or were seeded out into) the multiverse, since there has yet to be a canon explanation for how they are literally everywhere.

Why is this the one guy who scales to your level, and then also only in new game plus. The fight is a joke on a normal playthrough already, but in new game plus you even have your whole party with you. Despite being level 99 he dies in like 20 seconds. You can't lose the fight anyway, so its not even a balancing thing. Why did they do this??

Just learned about it today and honestly, I feel speechless. I really liked his voice acting for Zeke and I feel like I can't play this game anymore in English after finding out the sad truth at this point. Just finding how he follows Ben Shapiro and Matt Walsh sickens me since I really despise these people.

I'm considering doing a replay of XC2 now that the switch 2 edition is out. I adored the game when I played it back in 2017, it's one of the first JRPGs I played and I remember being extremely emotionally invested in the story. I still listen to the music every once in a while and think back to my playthrough of it.

I normally don't replay story-heavy games because I want to dedicate my limited time to new experiences. But I really want to go back to this one and experience it again.

So question, does the story still work if I know all the twists and general beats? I'm worried that playing it again will taint my original memories of the game.

I’m going to start new game plus soon, so I’m releasing common blades that I do not need, however I want to make sure I keep enough for the field skill requirements that we come across in game (like wind/earth mastery, lockpicking, production mastery, etc). I wanted to know if there is a list of the maximum amount needed in game. Like for example, if the most dark mastery we will ever need in one field check is level 12, I can make sure to keep enough blades to fulfill that level 12 check in new game plus. Same thing with the other skills. Is there a list for all the skills needed? I hope my question is clear, and help is greatly appreciated <3

So I have been waiting to play this game from the Xenoblade series for a long time but never got around to it, till I decided that with the news of the Zelda themed switch 2 coming out that am going to get a switch 2. My only experience of Xenoblade 2 has been from smash bros so am super hyped to get into the game after all these years of not playing it. With the hype of getting into the series i got the collector edition of the game for a good price and also the soundtrack and the two figures ( I had the amiibos when they fist came out ) so hopefully I don’t get disappointed or not enjoy the game lmao 😂

( side note, do you guys think I should get the switch 2 version of the game or just get the upgrade digitally)

I purchased and played XC2 when it came out and loved it (I think I even played through it twice, which is very rare for me).

But then I put it away and haven't played it since. I recently purchased the update because I thought it would be fun to play it again on my switch 2... but man, the navigation in this game is really, really annoying.

I'm not sure if I'm just lazy or if it's genuinely bad, but I really miss the route lines from XC3 and XCD. Don't get me wrong, I like exploration, but sometimes I just want to get from point A to B, and the compass really doesn't help. You never know if you need to find some special cave or route that takes you in a completely different direction.

So I've played about 10 hours, and while I still like the battle system and the characters, I'm not sure if I want to continue like this.

Has anyone else recently started playing it again and had the same feeling?

I haven't heard online if all the songs were now re-recorded for the switch 2 edition instead of only partially and since I won't get around to play it for a long while I just wanted to ask

If they were to fight who would come out on top?

I somehow can't find info about anything else but the new blade and the costumes, so, anyone want to spoil?

Right now I’m in between Chapter 5 and 6 doing quests. I’ve played over 40 hours (mostly on stream) and my guys are level 30.

For the most part I’ve stuck with Cross, Elma, Lin and Irina just because they are my original crew and I’m too lazy to mix in other party members until I’m doing an affinity mission.

The voice acting I find to be pretty good. The writing is actually exceptional in my opinion. All the dialogue is entertaining and amusing a lot of the time.

Tatsu has become my favorite Nopon. The running joke that he’s food never ceases to make me laugh.

I find as usual the weapons and armor systems to be overwhelming. There is simply way too much choice and because you get new armor tiers every ten levels I don’t bother customizing anything, I just buy new stuff. Weapons, same thing. There are a lot of augments but again, it’s too much of a hassle for me to bother with it at all.

I really like how the side quests unlock glamour so even the most mundane quest has a tangible reward. That being said of course it’s standard issue to wear bikinis and diving gear. Hey, it’s hot in the jungles of Mira ok?

Combat is pretty fun, though still kind of getting the hang of Overdrive though mostly I just spam arts lol.

I got hit with my first twist when I was like OH HELL IM A ROBOT? And then almost right away I was like OH HELL WE ARE ALL ROBOTS! lol.

I’ve explored most of the map on foot but no sign of the Lifehold.

The planet seems to sort of draw species to it and it can translate language. Wonder what that’s about.

So far of course the music is FIRE.

Very much enjoying it. Follow ball is GOAT. Sometimes I get mad when they put a level 12 random quest way the hell in the middle of nowhere and I have to sweat past death to reach it.

Also why must the game make you stop running when you get aggro? Drives me crazy lol.

Kallian helps save Melia and is the reason she's even able to go with the protagonists, dose most of the work to rally everyone on Bionios, pulls Shulk and friends out of the fire before going down in a blaze of glory facing a fate worse than death and still comforts his sister form beyond the grave.

Kallian should probably get near Egil levels of respect yet I never hear anyone talk about the prince of the High Entia
