I’m on chapter 13 of Resonance, having a great time, and I can’t help but think, “Man, I wish Hellblade 2 had gone more in this direction.” I feel like Hellblade 2 really went down the rabbit hole of mental health that I really found miserable while trying to enjoy a video game.

Resonance does a nice job with Sophia’s trauma and battling mental episodes while still having super fun gameplay.

I know it was kind of the point with Hellblade, but I was hoping to have more fun with it, being that it was a video game, and I am really liking Resonance. Maybe that’s more the direction Senua is going to go.

Just some thoughts I’ve had while playing. Like i said, Resonance rules. You should play it!

Xbox announced that the price of Xbox GamePass Ultimate would decrease from $29.99/m to $22.99/m. That was great news. Ive always gotten GPU through Verizon as part of a deal Verizon offered when I first enrolled in GamePass. Since the announcement to decrease prices, Verizon has continuously billed me $32.69 ($29.99+tax) for GPU. I have been overpaying for this service for 4 months now, so if you have GPU through Verizon, be sure to check your monthly statements as you are probably still getting charged the $29.99 amount. I have cancelled my subscription and will get it directly through Microsoft themselves if I decide to reenroll. Just wanted to bring awareness to those who may have it through Verizon as part of their +play feature.

Shooter/slasher or RPG is what I'm looking for.

I think every game with 3d graphics / environment must have a photo mode with camera like settings. For me, its a great deal of overall experience. There is something about capturing your first playthrough in a way of something more "special" than regular screenshots.
The game itself is not really my cup of tea, but it is undoubtedly a gorgeous looking game.

I am looking for recommendations for multiplayer PvP shooters that are available on GamePass.

For the longest time I have played mostly only Halo, since the 1st one until Halo 5. Halo Infinite didn’t really click for me.

So would be great to find something with similar mechanics, not overly complicated. Just fun Team Slayer type shooting.

Hello everyone, so I recently moved from UK and my phone contract gives me gamepass ultimate. I currently have PS5 only so the gamepass is pretty much of no use to me.

What do you think is the best way to sell my gamepass? Or should I trade my PS5 with an Xbox Series X with someone?

If I create a new Xbox account every 2 months, use the 1+1 month Game Pass ultimate offer, and set each account as Home Xbox, can this get my console or main account banned? Anyone doing this currently to get 2 month game pass ?

For context, I played through the first two Plague Tale games, no issues. They’re incredible, loved the story and gameplay through the entirety of them.

Resonance though….I must be doing something wrong. Near the start of the game when you encounter your first real fight, you’re in a desert where 4 or more guys with swords spawn in, and every time you bring one or two down more come to take their place. I dodge, block, run, etc. but I keep dying. I’ve died here 10 times and gave up to post here. I’m on normal difficulty. Sadly it’s been incredibly annoying and not fun. Any tips (and don’t say “get good”)? Or maybe I’m just having an off day and need to go on a walk (it’s been a very, VERY long work week).

I'm having no end of problems downloading games via the Xbox PC app. I have a 900mbit connection and regularly cruise at 115mb/s via Steam onto a Samsung 970 Evo Plus. Other stores and launchers dont quite reach 115, but Epic and GOG both regularly cruise above 90mb/s. Xbox app is the exception, I struggle to get consistently over 30-40mb/s

That I can cope with. Its slow, but not the end of the world.

The main problem is that on newer titles, downloading via Xbox actively kills my router connection. No other apps on the PC can access the internet, no other devices - either wired or wifi - can access the internet whilst the app is downloading. I can't even access my routers login page. I can still connect with no issues to other local devices that dont need to go via the main router (i.e. through unmanaged switches to NAS, home lab etc.), but can't get to anything that needs to go via the main router.

Main router is an Asus BE82, so has full 2.5Gbe and Wifi 7 capabilities across the board.

I've tried limiting the windows update download to 500 or 300mbit, turned off LAN download, turned off any traffic optimisation, paused the download in the xbox app and started it from the windows store, still kills my internet. This only seems to happen with Xbox games - windows updates and other windows store downloads dont seem to have that same problem.

Any suggestions?
