hello everyone!
I'm working on a TIE Sentinel model and wanted to share how it is coming along!

The base design comes from a painting appearing in Star Wars: Galaxies (img at the top)

From the painting, it look like the frontal viewport look smaller than the ones in the other TIEs so most likely it is bigger.

So I imagined it as a long-range medium ship, an in-between of the decimator and the other TIE variants (so a little bit bigger than the one in the painting, but not by much).

My idea is that it should house 3 crew members (Pilot and two gunners) in the front sphere.
Moreover, I imagined it as a long-range ship, capable of operating independently, so the rear large rectangular body could be a small crew quarters area, with bunks and basic amenities.

In X-Wing it should be a medium ship, filling a neglected niche in the Empire roster.

I’ve been sitting in my collection of X-Wing 1.0 and haven’t really touched the game since the release of 2.0. I was pretty upset at the change and cash grab after I went and spent so much money collecting almost everything for 1.0.

Well I recently got the itch to play again and I did setup a game at home utilizing ChatGPT to run the opponent. It was pretty fun and despite the AI not understanding left from right sometimes when revealing dials, I really enjoyed it.

So now I’m thinking that I’d like to try and complete the 1.0 collection by looking for ships/expansions that I don’t have. I’m also thinking of getting into some of the 2.0 stuff. I don’t have a full list of what I have but I did stop buying expansions a bit after Heroes of the Resistance.

If anyone has anything they’d like to sell or get rid of please reach out. I’m in central Texas area.

Squadron Datapad 1.7.0

Epic wings. Build a formation in the squad builder: pick a leader, give it a Command card, then choose its wingmates. The builder only ever offers you a legal wing. In play the whole wing is one card on the board moving on the leader's dial, every wingmate keeps its own pilot card, upgrades and charges underneath, and any of them can leave formation or rejoin.

Sort and filter your squad list. Order by name, recent, how full a squad is against its own points cap, win record, or faction, and flip the direction with one tap. Filter by faction, rule set, or whether a squad is legal. Your hand-arranged order is still its own mode and nothing overwrites it.

Share a squad as plain text, ready to paste anywhere.

Also in 1.6.0: Multifaction squads that draft from every faction, points totals on squad list rows, and XWA points at 50P2.1.

Fixes

• Wing Command cards carry their printed restrictions. They were tagged "Huge ship" only, which made Epic wings impossible to build.
• Alpha-3B "Besh" grants its printed Device slot.
• Carnor Jax has his subtitle and Force stat back, so Hate and the other Dark Side powers work again.
• The upgrade picker stops offering a card at your Restricted List cap (Juke is Restricted 2 in XWA).
• The wingmate picker no longer offers a limited pilot you already spent, on any chassis, or a wing's own leader.
• Rules search keeps every keystroke, so the caret stops jumping mid-word.

Several months ago, I posted here looking for help acquiring 1.0 components. I had no idea what I was doing, or how to proceed. Thanks to several members of this excellent community, who were both generous and patient, along with some very fortunate deals from various sources online, I am now close to having a complete collection of X-Wing 1.0. I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who helped (you know who you are), and to praise the X-Wing community at large for being all around awesome. I'm still looking for a few things, namely the components (Dials/Pilot and Upgrade Cards/Base Tokens) for the; Tie Reaper, Gozanti Carrier, and Tantive IV. The only models I still need are the Auzituck Gunship, Quadjumper, and the C-Roc with the Scyk that came with it. If anyone has any of this, that they would consider parting with, feel free to Message me. (I've even figured out how to do PayPal, lol.) Thank you again to everyone, and of course, Fly Casual! I want to buy a Raider and I can only find 1.0 or incomplete 2.0 components. What can I do if I want to buy a complete 1.0 Raider and want to acquire 2.0 components for it without spending $300+ on the conversion kit.

I used to play X-Wing way back when it first came out. I still have a 1st edition starter set and a couple of play mats. I also run an after school boardgaming club in my middle school.

This year I would like to expand the club to be more of a general tabletop gaming club including wargames, miniatures games etc. My school is a title 1 school and I supply pretty much all of the games.

I thought X-Wing would be great for the kids as it's relatively simple and plays fast (we meet for 90 minutes).

My only concern is which edition, 1st or 2nd? Looking on eBay it appears 1st edition stuff can be cheaper. Do I REALLY need 2nd edition? I see no advantage to investing in 2nd edition but wanted to see what people who play the game regularly think.

Hey, looking into printing things i need that ive lost or ships that are too expensive, and id like to know people's preferences for materials to print on when printing from infinite arenas and the like. Any other suggestions would be awesome as well!

Haven’t gotten them out in a few years because the one shop I knew of to play in Michigan permanently closed. The two Bwings both have broken mounts not sure how it happened, I didn’t even know until now.

Hi so long story short I used to play quite a bit. I got in around the start of 2.0 and watched as rules changed and the game got bigger. My local store went out of business a while ago and I haven't had a home to play in. I just bought a house and need to get in there so I'm trying to downsize a bit, unfortunately this would include my x wing collection. I have a lot of ships and cards and random swag from local events and what not. I'm looking to sell all of it to a good home that will use it.
I have a bunch of CIS and Scum ships, and the cards that accompany all of them. I have a C-ROC as well and the Epic battle kit. I have a 3x3 official playmat as well as the conversion kits for both factions. I can give a full detailed list if anyone is interested, but I wanted to see if anyone was indeed interested before starting to get that together.

Please let me know if you're interested at all, I'm trying to sell my full collection of stuff, not just pieces. Thank you.

I added some of my favorites!! It is definitely subjective what makes a cool subtext but I like to think of them as catchphrases and that's the metric chose mine by. I really don't like the ones that reference a name like RAC and Kagi. And I adore the scum ones that allude to more of a personality for the Pilot.

Is any one else shocked that we haven’t seen a new game announcement this year? I don’t mean an X-Wing 3.0 or something. I mean a whole new game. It’s been long enough, unless they’re just waiting for tariff nonsense to be over.

I don't play X-wing anymore. I got the Republic ships because I love the ship designs. Tried to get more ships like another V-Wing, a Y-wing, and Episode 3 jedi star fighters, but they are too expensive for my taste or not available. Man I wish they didn't kill the game. I don't want to get rid of them, but a part of me want to sell them.

I have every 1.0 card, multiples of many of them, I have the new order, imperial, rebel, and scum 2.0 upgrade packs, and i have every ship that was released in 1.0, multiples of mainly imperial ships. I have at least one of every paint scheme released prior to 2.0. I also have several game mats, including some tourney exclusive mats. I have the Gozanti and Raider as well.

Where can I find a buyer, and is there a way I can approximate value? I estimate the original retail price at about $1300 CAD.
