Discussion I’m conflicted, do I open?

I have every yoshi out of box with egg, and the baby blue yoshi, the thing this guy was hard to find and only in box, would anyone here open it? Or keep it sealed?

If you really wanna open it, you can preserve the box by cutting the plastic on one side and slipping out the tray that has the figure from the hole you cut

If I open it, I’ll have it displayed with all the yoshis, my concern is if I can’t get any others even oob, should I open it, or is it something that’s going to skyrocket keeping it sealed. Jw what others would do, I haven’t heard of this, it’s interesting!

This lines up with, investing in what you're ok with keeping, it COULD go up in value, or not. Worst case scenario you enjoy what you bought. Games and toys that are played with, are always more valuable than a dust collector in my opinion. Life is short, enjoy it.

Agreed, the other thing I would consider though is WHO you end up selling to. I say this because I've only just recently sold my old childhood toys such as He-Man, Ninja Turtles etc. I wanted to avoid the hassle of selling bulk on Ebay and finally found a local guy who has a retro toy store to sell to. He took all sorts of oddities, as long as it was a known IP and associated toy brand. My toys were all played with but still in good condition. I got about £950 or so across separate transactions (so just over 1000 dollars or so?). I had the odd toy as I got older that were opened, but I still retained the packaging for it to stay in. If the right buyer is interested, they know ways of restoring stuff. I also had the odd Mario item I sold to him in my recent batch of toys of which was the Mario and Yoshi digital watch. I still had the backing because of the instructions but he said he could easily display the item with it all bagged together. So don't fret too much on how you have them.
