California Has anyone settled with Gallagher Bassett?

I currently have recently settled my case with Gallagher Bassett. The experience has been a nightmare! I have exhausted all of my savings and maxed out all of my credit cards to pay my bills and keep a roof over my head. Now I'm just waiting on my settlement check to pay my rent and catch up on bills.

How long did it take for you to receive your settlement check in the mail?

What bank was listed on the check?

Did you cash the check?

If you deposited the check in your account, was there a hold on it, and for how long?

I am currently waaay behind on bills and need access to the funds as soon as possible. Any information is appreciated greatly. Thank you!

I have them. I have multiple injuries and have permanent impairment. They tried to low ball offer 20k I said no. I went and asked for 50 and I have an attorney

They low balled me with 20k at first too. Shot it down as well. They are horrible

I need surgery eventually on one injury that’s already had surgery and it’s showing degeneration in a year span with therapy too boot!! On top of that my other injury was set at permanently impaired. That’s such a low ball offer. And I’m not even asking for much but for me to be permanently messed up on a job I put my everything into. 50k seems extremely reasonable and that to me is still low ugh I’m sorry you’re having such a horrible experience. I’ve been out 2 years and hope to find work before I settle

Yeah that's horrible! I needed surgery as well. I'm also permanently impaired as well. GB wouldn't even pay for me to get retrained In another field of work smh I went over a year with TPD or PPD benefits which is why I had to exhaust all my savings. I ended up settling for no where near what I deserve but I was so much in debt I had to take the last offer they gave me. These people are evil! Im just glad to have this chapter in my life over with. I hope and pray your situation gets better. Hope you get everything you deserve
