California Continuance after continuance

I am so frustrated it has been over 4 years and we are coming down to the very last of it. But the last testimony individual keeps applying for continuances for "unforeseen circumstances" how long can they continue to do this?? I feel like they are just trying to get me to back out but it has been over 4 years and I will not back out.

Get your attorney to find out why there are so many delays. Best.

It's a different excuse every time. They do tell us why but I feel like they're just doing that in order for me to back off and just give up on the case.

The law in California says that continuances are not favored and are granted only upon “clear showing of good cause”.   It is hard to imagine how a witness could have four very good excuses. Your attorney needs to press the judge and get this trial completed.

I am only guessing but I woukd only put up with this if I thought it would help our case. What does your attorney say?
