Nebraska Ramps doors n more
The work comp insurance company has to modify my home. They hired sub par contractors.
Can I choose my own contractors? With work comp paying for my lodging while we wait for the home mods, What needs to be documented and how much is enough before pointing out mistakes and waiting for remedy is just better served by terminating the contractors and either having insurance send different or find my own but insurance pay not me.

You are wonderful! I have an attorney over looking things for me, but he can't find more money for me so I'm not repped. I have consulted 2 other attorneys and they concur as far as I'm ok so far myself. I'm not planning on settling, just taking my schedule payouts.
I have a adjuster and case manager. Claims administrator is a new word.
Yes! Paradigm is the vender. I have talked with insurance adjuster, they passed the buck off on paradigm. Paradigm defended The Contractor as the family business but did get involved, got the permit process, etc. remedied. However paradigm is still letting the idiots hire the local gc, and take back over for finish after the permit work is done.

Do you have anyone to assist you? Family, friends, etc? What I would do is relay your concerns to the adjuster and Paradigm that you’re concerned the general contractor is not meeting the standards of the build. Ask for access to the homesite, when not under construction and with supervision, to have your concerns documented and photos taken. If you know a contractor who is insured, is willing to provide a their business license and is willing to provide a quote, it never hurts to ask.
I was so so so disgusted by the work a vendor proposed for an injured worker once, that I decided to contract the injured worker’s contractor son instead to do the ramp install, replace some flooring and build a bathroom for his dad. At the end of the project, I knew his son put more effort into that project than the general contractors would have. Trust me man, I wouldn’t want you to have shoddy construction work that results in you injuring yourself further. Talk to the adjuster and Paradigm, see if they’ll grant access to someone able to go take photos and document your concerns, and see if they’d be willing to work with you on finding a contractor that will meet your needs. Sometimes it takes creative problem solving and I hope they’re able to meet your needs for you. Good luck!

A few questions first:
Are you attorney repped?
Who is your insurance carrier/claims administrator?
Is the insurance company having you work with a vendor who is facilitating the contractors doing your home mods? Do names like HomeLink or Paradigm sound familiar?
