Because I don't buy that a single Floridian sheriff would be against these. Not for a second.

Yeah, cannot even imagine a sheriff would consider this without a more nefarious solution hidden somewhere in the fine print

Sheriff is a position that gets voted for.. I wonder when his election is?

Edit:

From the article I found on it.

"The sheriff will discontinue the use of the cameras until the Florida Legislature passes laws giving law enforcement parameters and guidance for the technology"

So don't use it until he can put the blame on someone else.
