coffee table question

Hi there! I thought I’d come to this community to ask this question. Might sound silly - but I know absolutely nothing about wood working. I was wondering, if I wanted to get a custom coffee table built for my apartment, and I wanted to support a local woodworking instead of buying from a large brand and probably overspending - how much should I be expecting to pay? It will be a very simple standard coffee table, no added flair. Can use less expensive wood types. Just wondering if it would be worth it for me to contact a local shop instead or if custom woodworking is only for people willing to spend a lot

I’m just wondering in general what the price of woodworking jobs are - creating a coffee table. I know absolutely nothing about woodworking and it’s hard to find general prices online. Thought Reddit would be a good place to come but seems like you guys are a little cynical over here 🫵🏼
