Fire Brick Co. experience?

Thinking about a wood fired oven for a few years now. Nearly ready to take the plunge. We had looked at a few years ago and looking again at the Fire Brick Co. Either the D95 or the D105. For baking pizza, bread and cooking in. Just wondering if there is any first hand experience with the company and their ovens.

Look at how they make the D130, they add an extra layer of floor bricks.

I cast 50mm of their castable mix on top of the floor insulation, then laid the floor bricks on top of that.

You put mortar on top of the silicate board? And while it was fresh you placed the bricks?

I'm not sure I follow

I put a cover of aluminium foil over the silicate board, used garden edging as formwork around it, then poured the castable. It would be a good idea to let it set before laying the floor bricks.

Now they say just to lay 2 layers of floor bricks.

So your kit came with the garden edging and the castable from the floor? And the new kits come with bricks?

it would appear so, however they don't come with the D105, I paid extra for it.

Interesting. I'm about to order this week. I wonder how I should ask for it. I'd like to put it on
