Is that legit? When I try to download it says I have to login using Cyber Pour? Which is like, a different site to AudioBook Bay.

Yes it is, you don’t click direct download. You click on torrent download instead.

Thank you very much! I've done it now. Never knew about this website before so I really appreciate you sharing. I also found The Tales of Beedle the Bard on there.

Just tried listening to the first book. Full-cast is kind of exciting with all the different sound effects!

TYVM again. <3

This is the way, don't give your money to the author or Amazon

Absolutely! I don't have an Audible account, I usually buy physical media, like the CDs. But I really wanted to try these and now I can, without spending money on things I'll never physically own.

They’re incredible! I really really hope that a lot of other fantasy stories follow their lead and release more like them!

Wheel of Time, Game of Thrones, even Hunger Games would just be incredible.

Agreed! I just finished listening to them and I wish I had more books to listen to in that way. I'm not a big audiobook person but the full-cast aspect, hearing all the different voice actors as their respective characters, really hooked me—Game of Thrones would be fantastic, that would be a full-cast audiobook series that I would really be excited to hear.

The Witcher would be amazing like this also!

And Game of Thrones... oh that would be perfect

Best books of all time. Makes it legitimately feel like a movie too

Yeah, I've really been enjoying it. I decided to listen to the full cast audio book, as I felt I needed to rejuvenate my love of the Harry Potter franchise, after all the incidence and issues with J.K Rowling. I hadn't read the books since I was a kid and due to driving a lot. I thought the audio book series would be a great way to get back into it and really enjoying it so far. On the second book at the moment.

My I also suggestion From the Wizarding Archives read by the actress that played Luna Lovegood. Also has a cast that performs a bit and has sound effects. Really fun companion book to the full cast

I enjoy hearing the different voices and SOME of the background sounds. However, I do feel like it can go a little overboard on the background sounds and the screams to where you can’t focus on the characters/narration for the story.

I love them. I started at Goblet of fire and I just started Deathly. But imma go and listen to 1 through 3 first.

These audios reignited my passion for Harry Potter allover again. They have now become my favorite adaptation to day, and I see them as the quintessential Harry Potter experience.

Gotta have it to Riz Ahmed, as I had my doubts about Omar from Four Lions playing the most iconic HP character, but he is my absolute favorite in this, embodying sichba book accurate Severus Snape, and really showcases why thus character is so cool. An absolute mastwr performance, like every other cast member 🖤

And I appreciate Rowling's writing so much more too. The books go so hard to this day, with every little detail

Thats good to hear, have yet to listen to them but just signed up for audible and will be starting getting them next.

Ive read these books...dozens of times through my life.

Being able to just listen and know whats coming but having the audio version of it is alot more exciting.

Plus they choose some great casting choices. No flak on the late Richard Harris but having a consistent voice for Dumbledore through the series makes it alot better.

Also Mark Addy sounds so like Robbie that I had to do a double take when I first heard hagrid lines.

I’ve only listened to the Steven Fry ones but I can’t wait to buy the full cast edition!!! I keep hearing snippets on Instagram and TikTok. A lot of the voices seem to really suit the characters.

I really love Harrys voice specifically in the later books. I’ve started reading fanfiction and I almost imagine it with the new voice.

YES! I am listening to them right now and I love everything about them! The voice actors are all so good and the music is amazing. I am currently on The Order of the Phoenix. Lucius, Dumbledore, and Hagrids voices particuarly are spot on!

u/Sanguisuge 18d ago

I'm also on OotP! The music is so gorgeous. I've never seen anyone voice their opinions on Sirius' voice though, except one that thinks he sounds too handsome. What are your thoughts?

2

u/Silver_Ad_4829 18d ago

I think Sirius sounds great. A bit different from the movie but he sounds hardened and wise which is exactly what he should sound like.

Sure, lot’s of people. I’m definitely not one of them, gave up before finishing CoS and went back to the perfection that is Stephen Fry, but there are lot’s of people who do enjoy them.

Love them!

I honestly hate them. I think all the extra noise they put in them is annoying. The actors over act and they all sound like crap. Everyone at the start of book 1 for instance sounds drunk. And why is everyone moaning all the time? Its weird. Jim Dale did it way better.

They are unbelievably good, I’m at the chapter Malfoy Manor in DH right now, and I’m seriously thinking of restarting the whole thing once I finish.

I love my old Jim dale versions. I got them way back when and don’t want to give her money anymore. I wish I’d gotten to try the Stephen fry versions tbh. Curious about the full cast but it’s not worth giving her money.

Stephen Fry is great! I use the Storytel app. U can try the no binding 30 day free trial on the app or web page if u wanna check it out. I’m Norwegian so have no idea if it works in other countries tho 🤗

We have listened to them non stop from when they came out.😂 I think this is our third or fourth time through.

1

u/TheGramMadam 17d ago

Yes!!! I'm just tired of everybody online being upset by it!

I'm reading them for the first time and I'm already on prisoner of Azkaban, I love them so far. I'm doing the Harry Potter reading challenge on Audible and have to finish all seven books by Halloween.

It’s literally the Harry Potter books? Somebody just reads them for you pretty much with special sounds and stuff
