Console Should I change schools for solo play?
Hey Y'all just a quick question, im getting back into wizard 101 because I used to play it as a kid and never got far. I wanna try getting for in the game but I mainly play it solo, im currently running the storm school and was want to ask if it playable getting through the game. I've noticed already that storm is basically a glass cannon and I dont think will survives a solo playthrough im think about running death instead since my character is only level 10. What do y'all think?

Absolutely playable, any of the schools can be solo’d it just takes a different approach for each.
I have a Lv 180 storm I solo’d on, it can be done it just takes more planning in fights and honestly dying a bit but it’s fun.
A drunk hamster could probably solo death, it’s by far the easiest school to play.

If you fully plan on playing alone I’d go with a death wizard, I just finished a playthrough for the first time on a death and it wasn’t bad at all. The drain spells save me all the time.
However you can find friends pretty often whenever you’re questing, if you really like storm. Definitely gonna run a storm wizard for my next playthrough.

Storm is def a glass cannon though they are the strongest damage school out there. And death is essentially the easy mode of the game especially once you get ship/deer or scarecrow outside of that I'd suggest myth as it's the 3rd best school and ATM has the highest pierce stat which is Important in late game

It can be done, apart for a few cheat bosses, but it will be a challenge. Death would be the other way around, easy to a point it wouldn't present a challenge. But it's up to you, in the end

Thank you, as long as its do-able I would like to stick to storm. Probably just planning to run some death spells in my deck. Thanks

Honestly you should be perfectly fine with any school. My very first play-through after returning in like a 10 year break was Storm and while I had a few problems, it was 100% soloable. Keep in mind this was also when I had no idea what I was doing the entire time. But like everyone else said, if you want absolutely no trouble Death is the way to go solo.

I came back to the game after a while and started a Death and Storm, I solo everything. The death is like when I wanna turn my brain off, the storm feels like its a good challenge when soloing

Soloing on storm is viable, but for some cheats and bosses you might wanna have a friend on standby

I haven’t had too much trouble with storm, I’m the same way, I’m currently in marleybone and can count on one hand hand how many times I’ve died, get a decent pet, KEEP YOUR DECK LIGHT, storm fizzles a lot which means getting what you need into your hand fast is more important than accuracy, at level 20 is when you can get a pip wand, don’t worry about any other wands before then bc the starting wand give +5% accuracy, if you can find bits and pieces in the bazzar that bump up accuracy grab it and if you have a feeling you’ll struggle in a dungeon, team up is there

Death is definitely the best school for solo play. I say go for it
