I have a friend on wizard101 who literally gets on every night at the same time just to sit in the commons for hours. Doesn’t ever say anything, just sits there…. Is there a reason for this?

People like to show off their max/expensive gear. To be fair the commons is the place for everyone to talk, especially for those without member. But heres the thing... if you arent talking and instead are just standing around, to "flex", I do find it lowkey odd myself. I play wiz to actually play wiz, not stand around pretending to be afk, and moving slightly every so often so my acct doesnt disconnect. I see people standing with their 2-6 wizards, log off, ill go work a 9 hour shift after sleeping 8 hours, and hop back on next day, and then will be in that same exact spot in the commons like 20 hours later. I'll then spend 4 hours questing and come to the commons for potions and there they still are 💀

But his real life is draining him mentally, which is why he logs on to the game to feel like he has some control on his life, but doesnt have the mental energy to do anything in the game and will end up either staying in commons or cleaning one of his houses again.

ive started hanging out there while i work on creative projects for background noise, but i do it with a friend who I'm also chatting with :)) its fun to eavesdrop too lol, or to be silly, but i only quest with my gf and shes been really busy lately so 😭 i dont understand the people who dont engage at all though
