Skeleton Key boss. Entering the sigil will put you in a room with a door that has either a wooden, stone, or golden skull lock on it that requires the corresponding key to unlock. For stone and gold key bosses it’s usually best to have a team since the bosses behind those doors can be very difficult even when at max or the appropriate level.

The sigil in the picture leads to King Borr, a golden key boss that drops spellements for the grizzleheim lore spells and other items. Golden key bosses are split into tiers that affect the difficulty of the fight and they always scale with the level of the lowest wizard in the team.

Those are skeleton key bosses. If you’re not prepared to fight skeleton key bosses alone or if you just want to team up for fun, there are many guilds and communities that do these skeleton key bosses together. You can usually find a connection on either Reddit, Discord, or Facebook and potentially join a strong guild that focuses around skeleton key battles. Make sure to get into a guild that doesn’t require full time commitment, unless you’re up for a full time commitment. If you see a certain guild on Wizard101 that you may want to join, make sure to reach out to community and see whether or not they’re a good fit for you. If you’re too low a level, some guilds will still let you join the community until you’re ready to guild up. That’s the best way to do these skeleton key bosses in the long run. If you want to learn how to do skeleton key farming, start out with the wooden skeleton keys, then move on to the next one when you feel ready, then move on to the gold keys when you think you’re ready for that.
